I had to replace a rubber hose that kept kinking no matter what. This house is great in that I didn't have issues with kinks, rolled up nicely on my reel, and no leaks. The outer material looks like canvas or denier nylon Oxford fabric. Hopefully, this hose will last for more than 1 season.

The whole blue grip on the female hose end spins, making for a smooth easy connection to a outdoor spigot. Both ends of the hose were leak free even under the full 60 PSI of our house water pressure. It's much lighter than my 100 foot rubber hose but feels well made. Will have to wait and see how the material covering holds up being dragged across the concrete over the years. I find this hose tangles easier and tends to get more kinks that a rubber one. When kinked the water still flowed pretty well. When holding the male end of the hose horizontal, like when hand watering, being a very flexible hose it does kink where the blue grip meets the hose restricting the flow a bit. It also makes the water flow more erratic, unlike the stronger rubber hose which flows smoothly without kinking. The opening for water flow is only 3/8 inch diameter (see my first photo). Most home water hoses are larger like 1/2, 5/8, or even 3/4 inches. In comparison to my 1/2 inch water hose I can fill up a 5 gallon bucket in 44 seconds. This hose took 56 seconds. That may not seem like a big difference, but if you have a large yard or are filling up a swimming pool it can be. Being flat when not in use, it curls up nicely in my hose box (see my second photo). By contrast, my rubber hose is to stiff and thick to fit. However, the new hose has to be completely unrolled out of the box to work properly and drained to put it back in. It comes with a one page easy to understand manual and three extra rubber washers. I measured it right at 100 feet. This is a decent hose and will work for most. If you have a larger yard or just like more water flow a standard 1/2 or 5/8 inch hose would be better. To me, this is the most important specification to determine water flow rate. I rated 4 stars instead of 5 since it's not listed anywhere on the product page or manual. Other than that, it's a nice hose.

I purchased the LAVEVE 94FT Flexible Garden Hose for use with my small residential pressure washer. While it worked well overall, I did experience some kinking in one spot. This hose is definitely lighter and easier to maneuver than traditional hoses, which is a huge plus. Initial Impressions: The hose is quite compact when empty. See the pic comparing it to a rubber hose of similar length. Thats' why I got it. It's not one of those expanding/collapsing hoses, which tend to be fragile and fail after only a few seasons. Usage: The hose has an ample inside diameter, so water flow also is ample. The outer cover is a tough nylon fabric that should stand up well when dragging it across asphalt and concrete surfaces. The threaded fittings are aluminum, so it's best to empty the hose when not in use and remove the fittings from the faucet and spray head if you want it to last without corrosion or fusing. Verdict: This is a good addition to the other heavier hoses I have. It's much easier to handle and move about. Using is, you'll be less likely to inadvertently nock over delicate plants and shrubs. Recommended. One star off because although it's not as tough as a rubber hose, it's an excellent alternative that's easier to use.

I got this to replace a shorter no kink hose and was excited to see that it had an end that could be an extension. I bought a shorter no kink hose last year and it was both female sides, this was a better value and had more features. It did not leak at any points, even as I was running water through it while it was being unraveled. It also came with extra rubber seals which was nice - normally you have to get those separately because they wear over time. Last but best thing is the big blue handle for fastening. I found this much easier to connect and disconnect. Great consideration on their part. Material seemed nice and durable and did not kink as I was moving it around the yard and around corners. Very happy with this hose!

This hose works great for what it's supposed to do. The main thing you need to pay attention to is that this is not one of those expanding hoses. It's basically a flat hose that "inflates" when you run water through it. So, it works great as a hose, and then it rolls up a bit smaller than a regular hose. But it does not "shrink" into a smaller length.
