The kit allowed me to connect my Intex brand pool to the non-Intex pump and filter effortlessly. The plastic construction of the adapter made it durable, and the included gasket and o-rings ensured a leak-proof connection. I must admit, it was a relief to avoid the hassle of hard plumbing with PVC, thanks to these handy adapters. Tip: The Teflon tape included in the kit comes in handy for a snug fit and prevents any leaks. Make sure to use it while connecting your hoses! The only slight criticism I have is that it required a bit more plumbing tape than I anticipated to get a leak-proof seal, but it was a small trade-off for the convenience it offered. If your hooking up a Hayward skimmer to a Intex pool your going to need this conversion kit because Hayward does not give you the correct adapters. This kit worked perfect and was easy to install. They also give you plumbing tape with the kit. Excellent product.

Bought these to add an inline chlorinator to my existing "Intex style" system. I took one star away because the O-rings are somewhat touchy on getting a seal. You have to torque them just right to avoid dripping. Not too tight, and not too loose. My OCD won't let me use Teflon tape on parts that should seal with rubber gaskets. ... show more

Size: Adapter Conversion Kit (For Intex & Bestw...
This adaptor worked perfectly to directly connect my new Hayward skimmer to my Intex hose. I used a bunch of the Teflon tape on the connection to the skimmer, as the instructions directed and screwed it on until the adaptor was snug. You need to be careful not to squeeze the O ring out of place by tightening it too much. Connected my Intex 1.5" hose from the filter and not a drop of water leaked out the first time. Fired up my pump and filter and noticed a massive difference in water volume. No more water restriction. I also added an Intex valve at the base of the skimmer to shut the water off as needed. This product comes with TWO adaptors and a roll of Teflon tape. Great deal and it looks so clean. I'm really glad I looked around and found the right adaptor. Thank you manufacture! ... show more

i kept trying to figure out why when I bought a new sandfilter/pump combo off amazon why it would suggest this little part. once the pump/filter got here I realized why. i have a intex aboveground hardsided pool, the 1/4 hp pump it came with and 50lb sand filter were clearly not enough to keep up with the filtering so i ordered a 150lb filter with a 1.5hp pump with built in strainer basket. i wanted to keep all the lines that were on the pool still and just hook them up to this new combo but intex has their own size hoses/nut that threads onto their pump and filter. so when i ordered the new stuff none of the hoses i had fit, THIS LITTLE PART HERE THREADS INTO THE PUMP INLET OR FILTER 6WAY VALVE AND ALLOWS YOU TO USE NON INTEX PUMPS/FILTERS WITH YOUR STOCK HOSES. this works great because the intex hoses i like because they are clear and have the built in shut off valve on both sides of the inlet and outlet and i dont want to hard plumb everything with pvc just yet! ... show more

This hose adapter is a great little unit.. It connects to hoses that are the wrong size and adapts them to be the right size.. If I ever need to adapt the size of a hose again in the future.. I will buy this hose adapter again to adapt my hose to the right size..
