  • Its a perfect appliance for microwave, frying, baking ana toaster oven too!
Size: 1.6 Cu.Ft Color: Stainless Steel
We bought this because my over the range 10 yr old microwave died. We didn't want another one. My wife kept burning herself because it was too high. So we ditched the Over The Range (OTR) microwave and bought this GALANZ appliance. I knw how to use the microwave oven, the instructions were easy. The fryer was new to me . So I tried a piece of bread in the fryer unit and low and behold it toasted the piece of bread, then I toasted a bagel . It worked too! Then I put a potato in the microwave cook it, pealed it slice it about 1/4 in thick salted it sprayed it with oil and set it in the fryer. Wow, it came out delicious , crispy and soft on the inside. The microwave isn't as strong as my OTR one but I improvised, adapted and over came it. I put a 1 qt frozen container of homemade chicken noodle soup that I had made and froze last week I defrosted it and cooked it in the microwave. I just took a little longer than my other microwave. baking was a little different....My first baking was brownies in a 9x9 inch baking pan. It took forever to cook and still the center didn't get done. SO... Since I was using the convection oven I knew it needed to be high enough off the bottom for the heat to circulate around the pan. SO... I made 2 lb meatloaf and used the 9x9 inch pan again. This time I took out the microwave plate, turned off the microwave turntable to lock, put something under the pan at each corner about 2 inches off the bottom of the unit ..low an behold it cook y beautiful heavy delicious meatloaf perfectly in about an hour and 15 min. I also cooked a 12 inch frozen thin crust. pizza in it on bake at 425Degreese for 12 min. It was perfect!, All it takes is you adapt to this appliance and it will do what ever you want. For my small kitchen it's a little big, but I still have room to work on my counters. One time I has a warning that it was overheating. Duh, It was too close to the wall. I unplugged it plugged it back in and moved it 2 more inches out from the wall. No problems after that. You really need to pay attention to the regulations of where to set this appliance up. It's important to make it work right. We have only had it for 10 days, but I keep trying new thing to cook . I haven't used my big oven , toaster oven and of course microwave of witch I don't have any more, since then.,, The only flaw is they need to send a metal , maybe 6x6 inch upside down basket to put your baking pan on so the convection oven will do its job. I went on Amazon and ordered a 4 pack of different size steel organizers and turned them upside down for the heights in the oven They really work great. I hope this review will help you in choosing your appliance. For me and mine it works perfect. ... show more

  • Perfect cooking device
Size: 1.2 Cu.Ft Color: Stainless Steel
First I have to express my disappointment that Amazon selected the US Postal service to deliver this heavy package. My local station isn't equipped to handle deliveries and refused to bring it to me so I had to pick it up. I got it home, set it up and started putting it through its paces. Microwave - check. Sensor reheat - check. AirFry french fries - check. Convection oven - check. I love this oven. I love the food that has come out of this oven. I used the convection process to cook a frozen pizza and it was cooked evenly all the way around. It's very easy to use. Watch the Videos to see for yourself. Put in food, dial and push. The oven light is fine, it's that the grid on the glass is such that the light doesn't come through very well. The only other thing is that the feet are a hard plastic instead of rubbery so when you pull or push on the door, the oven slides too easily. I put a rubbery rug liner under the oven and that solved the problem. ... show more

  • I'm not sorry I bought it
Size: 1.6 Cu.Ft Color: Stainless Steel
Update to my previous 1 star review, which you were unable to see because apparently those don't get posted: I decided to open the heavily damaged box. The styrofoam was deep enough that the oven appeared to be intact, but the air frying kit has some nonstick coating scratched off. Amazon offered a partial refund so I can buy a new kit. The alternative would have been to wrestle the whole appliance back to a drop-off 30 miles away, so I took the money. The kit doesn't seem to be available by itself yet, and I'm not sure I believe the Amazon rep who assured me any old kit will be compatible, so I've contacted Galanz. Meanwhile, it's usable because the scratches are on the outside where the food won't touch it. As to the gadget itself, it's big. With the recommended clearances, you'll need just over 20 inches in height and 26 inches width. The motor means it won't slide all the way back so you'll need about 21 inches front to back to keep the handle from sticking out over the counter. The fact that it has a handle was important in my decision to buy it, as I dislike the press release doors so many microwaves have now. It's pretty easy to use, just select the cooking mode, press the dial, turn the dial for your time and press it to start. There are also preset programs if you want to eat what they decided to program, and they've got a cheat sheet sticker so you don't have to remember them or constantly look it up. However, the cheat sticker has small white print on a black and red background, and reading it would require reading glasses and a spotlight, so I just set my own temps and times. Although it's billed as a 3-in-1 appliance, there are buttons for Bake, AirFry, Roast, Microwave, Convection, and Convection/Microwave combo. It does not say toast, but since the element is in the top I'm pretty sure it would toast bread with the air fryer kit. I should probably explain that I didn't buy this because I love cooking. I like eating and I bought it to make cooking for one person less of a chore. I thought Bake, Convection, and Roast were interchangeable words, and I haven't fried anything in a couple of decades. I wanted to see the difference between the cooking modes, so decided to cook the same food with every method and compare. What can you fry, bake, roast, or convect? Is convect a verb? Anyway, the answer is Chicken. I decided to cook each of the chicken quarters from a big bag individually to see the difference between cooking modes. Air fryer: I drug the chicken through an egg and rolled it in breading, then set the air fryer to 25 minutes. It was a set-it-and-forget-it operation - no standing over the skillet dodging grease splatters. It came out perfect - crispy on the outside, done on the inside, with the juices sealed in. Cleanup was easy, with no grease to dispose of. I'll do this again. Convection oven: The chicken came out a slightly crispy on the outside, baked on the inside. It was slightly less crispy than the air fryer mode, but I'm guessing that's a function of the air fryer kit that lets more air circulater and the lack of breading, rather than the oven itself. Convection/microwave combination: I was pretty excited to try this one. Results - meh. The outside was not as brown and crispy as convection cooked or air fried. The texture was good for a microwave, not as good as the air fryer or convection mode. If you were in a rush and willing to sacrifice quality for speed, as I often am, you still wouldn't use this because it took just as long to cook as straight convection cooking. Roast and Bake: It seems I was right. There is little or no difference in these settings, other than when I press Roast, the oven doesn't preheat before beeping at me to add food. So if you don't want to wait for preheat to put the food in, you can use the Roast function. Microwave: I used the microwave for oatmeal, and to reheat some of the chicken. It works like a microwave. So, I needed a new microwave and it works for that. High marks for the air fryer and convection functions, except for the damaged air fryer kit. The bake/roast feature is no better or worse than my regular oven, but at least it won't heat up the whole kitchen this summer. There are lots of preprogrammed options which I won't use so those don't factor in. I'm still mildly upset at the condition of the box when it landed on my porch - it looked like it could have literally landed there, but the unit was protected inside the styrofoam. Four stars. ... show more
