Beautiful Fridge, But Too Noisy for a Bedroom

I opened the box and thought wow this is really cool for our guest room in our BnB. Then I plugged it in....the noise is really loud. It would definitely not be a good option for a bedroom. However, if you wanted to put it in the kitchen, basement, or even an office...it would be okay. Otherwise its
really nice, but we had to return it for that reason. Trust me...its not a low hum...its really a bit loud and distracting for a bedroom.

This wa a great value on Prime Day. Its actually pretty cool looking in a retro sort of way. Its quiet, it works, it keeps things as cold as you'd like, and it has a little freezer compartment that actually freezes anything in it.

I had it on 5 then just out of curiosity went to 7 (coldest) and yes things close to the back top froze so I turned it back down but it wasn’t an issue. I love this mini fridge!!! I’m so impressed I didn’t care that it came with a dent 😅 idc it’s in my bedroom so no one will really see it but it’s just a minor thing. Still 10/10

Freezer compartment stays cold

Glad I got the fridge with a separate freezer compartment. It got cold fast and has stayed that way. It's so quiet I can't even tell when it's running. Overall very pleased with the purchase. Wish there were separate temperature controls for the two compartments, but alas there are not.

Damage and missing parts.

Great Design! Looks & Function

A beautifully made sturdy small fridge. Arrived safely packaged and started right up, Outside is just an eye popper with solid paint and chrome. Handles easily attached and are solidly on, unlike on several new full size fridges I've had. Took a few minutes to figure out how to insert the evaporator
tray which was loose- it slides in at the top of the compressor section on the back- I guess I may have to empty or clean it periodically. The finish and thickness of the outside make me confident this guy is not going to rust out- like those large fridges did on the outside. The inside is so well designed, with very useful and flexible sturdy door shelves that easily snap in and out for spacing or cleaning. My wine bottle fit right in! The interior shelf area is also flexible, and spacious enough to keep a variety of items. Shelves are glass. As noted in other reviews, the veg drawer is small, but there's room for my 3 tomatoes with plenty left over(yes chilling tomatoes is a family preference). The freezer holds a nice amount too, 2 half gallon ice creams would fit with room for more, again with a nice door shelf. Having a separate freezer compartment is a plus to keep freezing steady. The fridge fully cooled -empty- in 2 hours. The freezer is not frost-free. I think this is consistent for the little fridges. Once I turned down the setting and put food in, the frost diminished. I may have just frozen the humid air in it originally- it was a humid day. I think I can just take a dish towel to it as a maintenance, or as suggested I could turn off the fridge for a while and wipe. We used to have to defrost fridges in the olden days! This little one only has a single temp control though, so I would have to be careful not to let the fridge section get too warm while I'm defrosting. I used to put a bowl of hot water in the freezer to quicken the process- and never use knives or hammers to clear frost! You only pierce the freon once to learn that lesson!. otherwise just a delightful addition to my den. I put it up on a sturdy little table so I can reach everything easily and then I get storage underneath. Sooo happy with this purchase!!

Best Small Refrigerator I've ever Owned

The fridge arrived damaged

The 3.3 Galanz refrigerator unfortunately arrived damaged. The entire right corner is cracked as seen in the photo. Also, when we removed the plastic clear wrap from the fridge, the Galanz letters came off and were discarded. Not sure why the letters were attached to the plastic wrap as opposed to th
e unit. The unit is a little bulky to return so maybe I’m stuck with the cracked fridge. I’d at least like some new sticky letters to put on the fridge like you see in the pictures.

Awesome fridge. I'm super sad. The start relay went bad and it no longer starts the compressor meaning no more cooling. A cheap part for any fridge but the 3rd party company that manages service and parts for Galanz has never carried that part and "people ask for that part all the time". Probably the
first thing to go bad in any mini fridge. Start relays are generally $8-$20, but no one has the part for this fridge. I called several small appliance repair companies in the DC region and no one services this brand. I had it for 2 years (just past the warranty) and now I'm a$$ out. :(
