  • Works as described
Size: FS-069LS
This is a very good feeder for when you are away. As a precaution, I also place a webcam facing my tank in case there is trouble. Then I can at least call a neighbor. Also live in a city prone to earthquakes so it is good to know if you tank is sloshing around or worse. This feeder is accurate and easy to use. Prices for these devices seem to be all over the place and constantly on sale. So it is difficult to rate based on price alone. It is a bit pricey. There are battery powered versions that are much cheaper. I think the key to this feeder is that you have a large tank with lots of fish to maintain. It can overpower a small tank and controlling small portions gets to be a challenge. Its a combination of the right kind of food and the ability to control the opening of the feeder. ... show more

  • Great for Pebbles
Size: FS-069LS
I like this automatic fish feeder as it gives me a peace of mind when I'm out on vacation and I don't have anyone to drop in and feed my little fishies. The automatic fish feeder comes in two versions I guess because the instructions cover instructions for one type of fish feeder and then another set of instructions for a different type of fish feeder. It was a bit confusing, but doesn't inhibit the overall value that I saw in the tank feeder. The one I received was a rechargeable fish feeder. It was really easy to use as all I needed to do was plug it in and allow it to charge up for about an hour. The drum pretty much just rolls whenever you hit the manual button but you can set it so that the feeder feeds every 8, 12, or 24 hours. The drum works great with larger pebbles, but I can't sasy the same for flakes. The flakes may be a bit too light for gravity to drag it down the drum and out the little latch. Otherwise, this is a great feeder and I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Nice for Slow Sinking Pellets
This floating square for your aquarium is made of plastic and foam for buoyancy, and includes a suction cup for securing to the glass. There are no metal components that can rust, and the plastic and foam is easy to clean and will not be corroded by salt or brackish water. At 4"x4", the ring is large enough to catch food from a small auto feeder but small enough to not look like an eye sore. For planted tanks with floaters like duckweed, this also a great way to give surface space for feeding the fish or to allow fish with labyrinth organs like bettas or gouramis to access the surface to breath. I personally use this to catch pellets for my saltwater aquarium while I am out of town, which allows the fish to eat the pellets as they slowly sink. This allows me to feed less while knowing my fish will capture the food, preventing uneaten food from sinking and rotting or causing algae blooms. ... show more

  • My fish are happy
Size: FS-069S
I like the design of this feeder. I like that the outlet is always held in the uppermost position until it turns every 8 or 12 hours (depending on the setting). This way, there's not a lot of ability for the humid air, or worse, the spray from bubble walls or filters to keep moisture in the tubes as they slowly sping around. I'm replacing one that would constantly clog up and even grow mold because the tubes spend a lot of time facing the water and humidity and the flake food gets damp. I also like that there's a manual feeding button so I can give my fish a little snack. I haven't had a chance to see how long the batteries will last, but I expect it should be at least several months. ... show more

  • Not for flakes
Size: FS-069LS
Pretty good product! Wouldn't use with big flake food as the hole is not large enough for the food to come out. I love the rechargeable battery since I can keep it plugged in, and I love how easy it is to set up. It is very customizable in terms of amount of food and when the food is given. It is a bit hard to add the food if you are using a larger container. Be careful when using this for bettas, s their stomach is only the size of their eye ball ... show more

  • Some sharp corners and is not move smoothly
I use this to keep my turtle's pellets contained so cleanup is easier. It generally work pretty well, but it does have a sharp corner. The sharp corner is when the "float" meets the rod that sticks out. The sharp corner is sharp enough for animals to hurt themselves if they go at it high speeds; it's otherwise good enough. The suction cup and the float are connected by a plastic rod and both have a hinge to allow it to move up and down. The hinges are not very smooth and can get caught potentially making the float not float with the water level. The float is made of plastic on top and the underside of it is a foam. It looks and feels like high density foam and it looks like it has tiny pores. Not sure how well the foam will hold up over time without having to be replaced either due to damage or dirt buildup. ... show more

  • Great for Feeding Freeze Dried Foods
This will be a short review because this is a basic product and it just works. It's a good size, plenty for my Dog Faced Puffer and Blue Throat Trigger to both eat freeze dried krill at the same time. The suction is good and has not come lose since installation about 3-4 weeks ago. The main hoop is on an articulating arm attached to the suction cup allowing it to move with water level functions. I recommend this product ... show more

  • works well even if I cant use the cuction cup
Size: Round Ring
I meant to get this for two reasons. one, to use as it's intended to feed my betta without the food getting away from him, and two, to gather my floating live plants. However I have a Fluval Chi and the filter faux-floating in the middle of the tank causes it to not suction cup properly without it not fitting the the area it can, however just resting the suction up on the limb of the filter it works just as good as it would be suctioned to the glass. I'm pretty happy still, great product! ... show more
