  • Good sturdy belt
This is one good quality sturdy gait belt. It has a clip, and handles outside for easy holding instead of grabbing and tucking your fingers in a traditional gait belt. Great value for the money.

  • Gait Transfer Belt
Gait belt provides more stability when limbs aren't working properly. It transfer the weight to center of gravity and aids the caregiver to aid in movement from getting up from a sitting position The handles are placed around different parts of the body to allow transfer from side or front or back. This is much better than trying to go under the arm or grabbing onto the body which can slip if someone falls. The handles allows the hand to grasp to stop the fall or soften the landing. 2 belts be good if the patient still has ability to grip onto caregiver otherwise it's not worth getting 2. It's wider by 5in so doesn't fold to become a string vs. a wide strap belt. The belt can be adjusted to fit from 32 to 62in waist and has a snap buckle so once set, it a quick reuse. This belt is more for sitting position not a lying position. There are straps around it so sliding under a bed isn't easy, there are other belts available on amazon for lifting from lying position without needing to buckle a person in. Good to have around the home especially, if the patient has problems standing/sitting. It'll save the caretakers back and patients limbs/arms to get up. ... show more

  • Works great!
I actually use this while riding my motorcycle so that my passenger has something to grab onto. This belt will not fit larger people. If you're thin to average sized, it should be ok. The quality is nice and the handles are padded so they don't hurt your hands. This does the job great! If I was using this for its original purpose, helping to lift people, then I would use it to help lift but not suspend someone. It's only to aid someone getting up. ... show more

  • Good for my Uses
I struggle with blood pressure that is too low which makes me wobbly and sometimes I even faint if I don't sit down quick enough. My husband always has to grab me under the arms which isn't very practical. This gives him some handles and when I tried it on he was able to help me walk to the couch easier than how he normally does. I have a 25 inch waist. Over my clothes it did fit but it would be nice if I could get it s bit more snug. I do think this is a good value. ... show more

My wife recently had a knee surgery, so she is working on rehabilitate the leg and needs some physical therapy. I found this products works very well for me to assist her in her routines. It allows me to keep a safe hold on her while she moves without interfering with her movement. The belt is well made, the buckle looks very strong and the handles are well positioned all around with a a very soft handle, friendly to the hands. ... show more

  • A quality gait / transfer belt for smaller individuals, but I don’t care for the foam handles …
This is a much different style of gait belt than Medline’s heavy-duty cotton. One relative has had a stroke and one of these belts is always on hand in case assistance is needed. I prefer the textured grip handles on this type of belt and don’t like these handles quite as much. It has a lightweight foam, which may or may not hold up. The belt will fit individuals with waists from up to 26.77”. This is for smaller people, a much-needed size as some gait belts tend to be massive. The standard gait belt, if you’re interested, is approximately 60” long. That being said, there are several things I do like about this belt. It’s much wider and sturdier than many belts, including the Medline. It’s a full 5” wide as opposed to the 2” my other gait belt is. It has several sewn in nylon straps with foam covered handles for the caretaker to hold. The buckle is made of an impact-resistant plastic and is a quick-release one. The basic material is a strong 900D Oxford with piping around the edges to prevent unraveling. The price is quite good at just under $20, but keep in mind those handle covers might not last with a lot of use. ... show more

  • Easier than other gait belts I've used
I really like this belt. It is easy to adjust and put on. The handles are thick so you can hold on easily. The material is strong and made well.

  • An excellent aid to help assist a thin person who has difficulty getting up from their seat
This belt is a strong and good quality transfer belt. There are a total of five handles (three horizontal and two vertical) that help in lifting up someone who needs extra assistance. Of course, the person using this has to have some ability to help unless the one using the handles and lifting is super strong. This belt is wide enough for a slender individual but not for the obese. Adjusting the belt to size is cumbersome but doable and the clip buckle is a bit hard to undo because it is strongly secured in the clasp. The current price of $19.99 is competitively priced for this transfer belt. ... show more
