I purchased this cushion after I had fallen down the stairs at home, landing on my tail bone. The pain was horrible and sitting was difficult. This cushion took the pressure off my tailbone so I could sit comfortably. I’ve been using this for almost a month. It definitely has flattened out a bit, but I do not think that is the fault of the product. I’m 5’4” and 240 pounds so I’m certain my weight has contributed to the flattening. Even so, the cushion is still comfortable and is serving its purpose. I am able to get up a bit quicker than I was without using the cushion. One thing to note: the zipper for this product is located on the bottom of the cushion which could cause scratching or tearing to your own chair if you are putting this on a leather seat. I’m really happy with this cushion to relieve my tailbone pain and to sit upright for low back and hip support. Many reviewers said it was too firm, which was actually a selling point for me. As a massage therapist I know exactly what’s is needed for therapeutic and support purposes. It does soften and compress some when you sit on it , but it’s not mushy and doesn’t flatten at all which would defeat its purpose. Nor is it too hard, it’s gives. I plan to get another one for my car, which I can also bring into a restaurant or anywhere I may be sitting for a while like an event or the movies . It’s also comfy if I turn to lay on one side while watching tv on the sofa, as it prevent the side of my hip from sinking into the sofa cushion . Last night I used it in bed between my knees while on my side and at one point while on the same side position I placed it sideways against lower back and it supported my sacrum and prevented it from rolling/rotating backwards while leaning up against it. I also used it while laying flat on my back and it kept my pelvis in a pelvis tilt position which relieved low back pain. Getting the cushion in the proper position for support is important before you get comfy . I got it in black, cover is removable, cover has a handle to carry it and the gel foam has a nice cooling anti inflammatory effect on my back and when used on my knees. I have tried several kinds of pillows for tailbone pain when I travel. This week we drove from Florida to PA in a truck and I never experienced any kind of pain. The pillow is very comfortable and I might buy another to keep on my desk chair. Hopefully the cushion comfort will last!

I didn’t realize my bung hole would be so assaulted by this cushion. I mean. It’s comfy, but the cushion spreads my butt cheeks like Moses parted the Red Sea. And when you settle in, I mean, I think the cushion is having a good time, if you know what I mean. So. Yeah. I’m not going to keep it.

Unfortunately, I have to sit for long periods. The foam seat is comfortable for prolonged sitting, and getting in and out of my seat. It is supportive of the rump with comfy wiggle room. Surprisingly helps with pain relief in the legs as well.
