Stable Ride, Just in Time. I have no use of my legs. So when I fall my wife and I have a hard getting me up. I saw this on line for a temporary price reduction ($300) I thought that I would give it a try. (Can't do that again with return fees Amazon) I tried it with my PT. Nice and smooth, quiet and stable. Needed something to help someone get up after falling, and this is perfect. I tried it myself (about 200-lbs), and it lifted me to a sitting position in no time using the hand-held remote. PROS: Works great, Portable. Cons: not too stable using it on a carpet/rug. With the large suction-cups, a hard surface should be more stable. ... show more

As caregiver, I only had to use it once but I think it did a good job to lift the disabled woman up to a height that made it easier for me to help her transfer to the wheelchair or bed. It’s a bit heavy but I was able to carry and set it up next to her so she could get on it and sit in position to be raised up. I think that as caregiver you would have to help by holding the person so they don’t slide off the chair as it was being raised to the maximum height (which is standard chair height). That might not be an issue if the disabled person had good core strength and can sit unsupported. This lift is a relief to have for someone who uses a walker and sinks to the floor and can’t get up without strong assistance as she is 135 pounds. The lift is quiet and goes up gently. Time will tell how durable it is. Update:I solved the heavy chair issue. I bought furniture movers, the plastic pieces that you slip under furniture legs so you can slide heavy pieces of furniture around. These work very well. I just slip them under the chair lift and push the chair to where it is needed. ... show more

    • A must for anyone who is prone to falls and has trouble getting up off the floor.
I bought this for my dad. He was injured from a bad fall and was no longer able to get up on his own. This chair weighs less than 30 lbs., is mobile, and waterproof. This is a true backsaver for any caretaker.

First i have to say this thing is very heavy - it was delivered2 days ago and is still on my porch. I am unable to pick it up and move it. I tried to stop the shipment of this item but the company said NO. My husband no longer needs this so I am stuck paying for something i cannot use. yes I could return it but i have o take it some place and pay the return postage - again - it is too heavy.     • elevates to same height as bed and slose to level of wheelchair!
It seems a bit heavy for an older caretaker to pick up and carry to where it is needed. Total concept seems doable.
