We tried a few other kids watches and prefer the Gabb Watch. Gabb seems to strike the best balance between making technology fun for the kids without making it addictive or dangerous. The watch is really durable. My son fell on his skateboard and the watch skid along the sidewalk. It still works perfectly and we were able to replace the screen cover quickly because they come in packs of 2. It’s easy to communicate with my kids and the parental controls like focus mode are so great!! I love seeing my kids connecting with family members, even if they sometimes send them messages with a million emojis. 🤭 My favorite features: • Focus modes to keep him from being distracted during school, sleep, church, etc. • The emergency feature where he can still call me in focus mode. • The coins he can earn (serious motivation for him to do chores without complaining!) • The Safe Zones - I set up his school and home as safe zones and I get an alerts if he leaves the area. • The battery lasts the whole day and I get a notification if his watch needs to be charged. • It also has a feature that makes a loud noise so we can find it if.. when it’s lost. Because, well, kids. 🤷♀️ My kids’ favorite features: • The fun animated animals and games he can play with by earning coins (but there are time limits so the games aren’t addicting) • The freedom he has to run around the neighborhood • The fact that he can call us for a ride when practice ends early. • The customizable alarm function so he can remind himself when to get ready for soccer practice, etc. It’s the whole package when it comes to a kids watch! I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this again.

6.9.25 Update- Extremely disappointed in the battery life (doesn't last through the school day even on focused mode). I've had to reach out to customer service a few times for various issues. I accidentally selected myself as Guardian which apparently I didn't need to do but they aren't able to stop the reminder I see every.single.day. The location is spotty and I have to refresh many times which doesn't always work. They have alot of known problems that makes it feel like a startup still working through the kinks. As much as I wanted this to work, I think we will be moving away from this company entirely. After much debate, I went ahead with this watch for my 11yo as an introduction to texting and calling. It was an easy setup unlike some of the reviews here. My son already is figuring out how to change the colors/display etc which just makes me feel old! Customer service texted as a follow up to see if I had any questions which I did and they were very quick to respond. One thing I didn’t realize is to view the call/text history, you have to be logged in online…it’s not part of the parent app. It also only lists phone numbers, not the texts. It would be helpful to see the name to quickly pinpoint. Even better would be seeing the actual messages. You can’t be too careful nowadays.

So far so good! My son is on day 2 of his watch and I have been able to locate him at school and after school programming. He used it a lot the first day and the battery lasted about 8 hours. The second day he used it a lot less and it had a lot more battery and it lasted longer. Calls are clear. Texts come through. He likes the rewards for tasks. Phone number in our area code. Great watch!

This is our second Gabb watch, and I’m so happy with how much easier the setup was this time around. They’ve definitely made some great improvements! I’ve got everything ready for my daughter to wear it to school tomorrow, and I’m feeling really good about it. Setting up the quiet times was super simple, and I even tested it out—it automatically silences during the time I selected, which is perfect because I definitely don’t want it going off in the middle of school. The task list and coin system is such a fun feature! Since my other daughter already has a Gabb watch, she was excited to jump in and start earning coins too. I’m not sure how long the motivation will last, but she got ready for bed faster than she has in weeks! Plus, with so many of her friends also having the watch, she’s really excited to show it off at school tomorrow I love that she can now stay in touch with the whole family. She made her first call to Grandpa tonight, and I’ve already shared her number with everyone. She just told me, “Hey, Grandma texted me!” It’s so nice knowing I can reach her easily while still giving her a little more independence. Gabb is a great company, and this watch gives me the peace of mind I need. Highly recommend to any parent!
