Nicely made. Unique squared corner (2) bumpouts provide more room. One rounded one at the back. Insert for comfort only hand washable/spot clean. Used to take 12lb cats to Vet. Have 2 carriers. Tried to leave open to encourage cats to use at home. Put toys, treats inside. They were curious but would not go in and sleep. Flimsy main opening would not stay upright and kept folding down. Seems to be common theme with soft carriers. Don't want a hard carrier. There is one on Amazon site that shows sturdier rods being inserted for stability. Thought about returning but too frustrating trying to find THE PERFECT carrier. When all folded up, top and front mesh only for air. Handles acceptable. Keeping.

I purchased the carrier for my seven pound puppy and suits him fine. He will probably be comfortable up to ~ten pounds. The carrier has several viewing areas with the mesh covering and handles are sturdy. The price is great compared to other carriers on the market of similar size. My puppy is a little feisty and does not enjoy the carrier most of the time and he was able to get out of the side compartment with little effort. I had placed both zippers meeting at the twelve o'clock position to close the side compartment. Just a couple of pushes, the side unzipped and he was enjoying his freedom. Both zippers should end at the bottom on the same side and problem solved.

My cat had a medical emergency and we had to wait in the waiting room for several hours. We were able to extend the sides of the carrier so he could stretch out and it did make him more comfortable! I am so thankful it helped keep him calm and I really liked how sturdy the carrier is . I would highly recommend this carrier
