Way roomier for my dog, fit under the seat of southwest max8. Lower quality than my old one pictured (which is about 12 years old). Fabric is thinner, not padded, and it flops when not zipped. There are two pieces that add more structure to the top, but that piece is exposed inside. I’d be surprised if this carrier lasts more than a couple years, but we do travel a lot. Perfect size to transport my mini daschund (weighs about 12 pounds) to the vet. I wouldn't recommend it for long trips, as there isn't alot of extra room for food, etc. 4 stars because the straps would be more comfortable with there were a pad for the shoulder. Zippers are good quality.
