  • Surprisingly well-made
Color: Black Pattern Name: Carrier
I recently took in a stray kitty and took him for shots, microchipping, etc. I took him in a hard side carrier and it may have been his first time in a vehicle. He peed, pooped and possibly puked in the carrier during the trip. He had an appointment to be neutered and any attempt to get him near the hard carrier was a no go. I purchased this soft carrier in hopes that he wouldn't have a negative association with it. Success! I was able to get him into this carrier more easily. Also, I've been able to get him into the carrier more than once, unlike the hard carrier. The carrier fabric held up to his lethal claws very well. There were a few pinprick holes from his claws, but I rubbed at the holes on both sides of the fabric with my fingers and the holes mostly closed up. When I was carrying him and he was moving around trying to escape (unsuccessfully) the carrier did feel unstable as if it was a bounce house or trampoline, which I'm guessing made him feel unsteady. When he was wearing a cone after neutering, his space was limited in the carrier, but that was expected. Without the cone, my 11-pound cat had space to stretch out, curl up, stand up and turn around comfortably. I had to take him to the vet in the rain and the carrier got wet, but dried very quickly. It also takes up almost no space compared to the hard carrier. ... show more

  • Great product
Color: Black Pattern Name: Carrier
Only carrier I've ever used that is so effective. My cats usually freak out when they're in a carrier, yowling, scratching, the whole thing. In this one, they are calm the entire time. I took my 2 small cats in this carrier to the vet the other day (held up well, but they are small cats, so I can't speak to its ability to hold heavier cats) and they were calm the entire time. They went in easily, i zipped it up, and carried them out. They were of course nervous, but because it has so much visibility for them (all the mesh) and good air flow, they didn't feel trapped, and instead were just really interested in everything happening. they were poking their heads around against the mesh trying to see outside, and when I held the whole thing on my lap at the vets office, they could sniff my hands through it, and could feel my lap below them (since it's not a hard shell case) and I could tell they were less afraid because of hte contact and familiar smell of me. The problem with heavier, hardier cases, is that it's just that much barrier between the cats and everything familiar. I also made sure it was a safe space for them. When I first got the carrier, I left it out on the floor with the flap held open by the handy velcro piece, so they could get used to its smell and shape. They like to sleep inside, it and play around it/in it. I've put treats in there before too. So when it eventually came time to actually use it, getting them inside it was easy, and even after we got back from the vet, I left it out in their play area so they can continue to see it's just a thing, and not only associate it with scary trips to the vet. Really great product overall, especially for the low price!!! ... show more

  • Affordable and Convenient
Color: Black Pattern Name: Carrier
I've got two cats and a tiny apartment, and one of the cats has bladder issues, which already wrecked one nice, fancy cat carrier. So I got a pair of these. I love how they fold up compactly for storage. I love that the material isn't anything super fancy, so it's no big deal if one of them gets destroyed, and they're simple enough to clean. They've worked perfectly for me, and the cats seem to like them well enough. I've just found the design to be super-handy and convenient, and if one breaks, it's not breaking the bank to replace. For the price, function, and convenience of storage, hands-down my favorite carrier I've ever used. They look nice, too. Reading some of the problems other people have had with their cats going nuts... When the carriers arrived, they had a very strong smell, so I opened them up to let them air out a couple days. and also to give the cats a chance to check them out. I let the cats get used to them. You shouldn't spring a carrier on a cat, let the carrier exist with the cats and let them see it as a hangout place first and not just a carrier. I successfully coaxed my cats into chilling inside the carriers days before we ever took the first vet trip. I know this won't solve carrier issues for every cat in the world, but if the carrier isn't a place where your cats can hang out when they're not being transported, you're doing it wrong. The more comfortable the cat is with sitting in the carrier, the less likely they'll be to freak out inside it. ... show more
