I bought this entirely for a one-way cat move where my flight happened to be on Alaska Airlines, which seems to have the least under seat space of any airline I've seen, at least for pet carriers. This carrier worked out great. The openings on three sides, the shoulder strap, and the board on the bottom all came in handy. I unzipped the board cover and put a "pee pad" in there just in case. Kitty was not terribly convinced at first, but when I first got him to go in (a week before the flight) I started giving him cat treats through the slightly unzipped zipper, then let him out after he was done eating treats. After doing this every day he learned the box was a nice place to be and he wouldn't get trapped in it. Just before time to go to the airport I wonder if he suspected people were leaving and wanted to go with us because he got into the carrier on his own! Amazingly he tolerated the flight much better than I thought. I also put a familiar scrap of blanket in there to make it seem more like his safe hiding spot and used a towel to cover up the carrier some of the time to make him feel a little more hidden. Usually I can find some sort of fault in this sort of product, but with this one I really couldn't. I'll be using this in the future to take him to the vet because, even though it seems rather small, he seems to really like it as a nice safe hiding place.

I tend to drive to destinations with my pup but I've finally gotten tired of the long drives so I decided to give flying a try. My dog is small so my only concern was finding a carrier that was TSA approved and comfortable for my dog. This carrier is perfect for me because it is not only TSA approved but also practical! It features a small little pouch on the side where I can store some of my dog's favorite treats and also has multiple sections that can be opened allowing for my dog to easily go in and out of the carrier. The little bed that comes with the carrier is also great because it provides some cushion for my pup while she's traveling in the carrier. Since purchasing this product, I've flown on Southwest multiple times and I've never had a problem with this carrier. I'd highly recommend this product to any dog owner that is looking to taking their loved one with them on their next flight!

I bought this carrier for my 4yr old long hair chihuahua. He's about 12lbs and he fit in there perfectly fine. He was a bit cramped trying to stand and turn around but overall, he did really well and I felt like he had ample space given the restriction of carrier size. The pad is very stiff and has no padding so if you have a tea cup sized dog or a smaller cat, maybe consider buying a plushier mat cause it was basically like sitting on the floor for him.

The Petskd Alaska Air pet carrier height in the ad isn't correct (box says 9", not 9.5") and it is was already going to be "iffy" whether my 11 pound dog would be happy in that 9.5" size. The pet carrier seemed well-designed and good quality and the padded insert looked like it would be very comfy. Am returning it for a carrier that has "squishy" metal supports so that my dog will be comfy in an 11" height. After all, she will be in the airport or car more than she will be under the seat, so the extra space will be a plus most of the time.

I bought this just to fly to Denver for a week and back and then ended up loving it and using it all the time. My pup goes everywhere I go and this made it a much more enjoyable experience. Has three openings so it's easy to change and clean the bed. I bought a plug in heated bed and stick in mine. Easy to carry and fits right behind my center console when I'm in the car. My dog loves it and chooses to lay in it at home even.

TSA approved for JetBlue, which seems to be difficult to find. My 1 year 10lb cat fits in them comfortably laying down. She checked them both out as soon as I opened the box. My 13 year old 7lb cat fits, but not quite as comfortably. She’s a little taller and doesn’t like carriers, but it will work good for flying with them. Will have to update after using them to fly!
