Okay, only one of them is a fat fat at almost 20lbs. The other comes in around 12. Fabric and construction appear to be good quantity. If I come back here ranting, you’ll know something failed quickly. Our usage is a cross country move. We have an extra long container for them with food and cat litter to fit the back of our car, but we wanted another to travel to the hotel room. A double helps for the few hotels that set a random limit that is problematic or charge $100 for each pet because the pet isn’t done by $100 more worth of anything for a single night passing through and of course there’s little if any competition among hotels that take cats so we don’t really have options. The metal frame reinforcement seems sturdy but it is TOUGH to connect. I’m not weak but I struggled a bit. Once together, it held the two cats with no issue for the trip to the vet. The bag collapses down nicely so we can pack it away until it’s time to transfer the cats. I don’t look forward to assembling every night on our 7 day trip, but I’d prefer it not fail. I can think of a few methods that would be an easier assembly but it works and that’s what matters to me. ***update 9/21/2023 - post cross country move*** This was used to transport our cats from their “houses” in the back of my vehicle to the hotel rooms. It worked great and the setup became easier as the connections were used. The first setup I struggled but the last set up was extremely easy getting the metal bars to connect. We did have one metal link spring apart on the strap, but I think that’s because I’m strong and it got stuck on something. I was able to bend it back in place. That was the only issue I had and this thing was amazing for transporting the heavy cats. ... show more

We have a large very sweet cat who had an appointment to go to the Vet a few weeks ago. I had purchased a new carrier because he had outgrown his old one. I spent 45 minutes trying to get him in it and failed. I had to call the Vet and reschedule. For the next try a friend loaned me this carrier and it worked beautifully! My cat has severe anxiety when it come to leaving the house, and it is always a struggle to get her in a carrier. Even more so because of how large she is; most carriers are a tight squeeze. I have a 18lb Maine Coon that I take on multiple outings and I noticed she was getting too big for her normal carrier and will continue to get bigger since she’s just a kitten! The carrier has plenty of room for her to lay down and then some! Folds easy for storage, Fits my two medium size cats perfect, sooo affordable compared to big box stores, love that the sides all unzip for easy loading/unloading, but also have closure for safety. I was concerned about ordering this because of people saying it was difficult to put together, etc. I purchased new condition, received a returned product from the Amazon warehouse that was noted on the box to be returned. That wasn’t cool. Everything appeared to be in the box, and there were no instructions. Putting it together was a strength challenge for this man; it has a rather unusual way of the frame coming together. After I got it into place for the first time, my cat jumped on top of the carrier and it collapsed. I put it back together, and all has been well since then. I put a blanket in it and my cat has quickly adopted it as his preferred napping location. He hasn’t been in a vehicle in 10 years, I am hoping to travel with my kitty. We love how large this is, plenty of room for my fat cat. Lots of screen windows. There are quite a few dangling strap clasp things that I have no idea what they are for since there was no instructions in my returned item; maybe I am missing some straps to secure it that were included originally? Hopefully these can be used to somehow strap it to a car seat. ... show more

These are nice and large… collapsible yet very sturdy. And love that they have an opening on top and side. Less fighting from the cats when they have to travel. We moved across country and our 3 cats seemed very secure in these carriers!
