    • Great product. Not like the negative reviews at all.
A lot of people have been giving this product a bad review or saying they don't reccomemd it, but I've found that it suits my needs well enough. I bought it for my rabbit (he's about 3-4 pounds now full grown) when he was young, and he still fits in the 19" with plenty of room. I was wondering if this would hold a 10 pound puppy for the car ride home from the breeder, so I put about 15 pounds inside and carried it around, shook the contents, everything. The kennel stayed sturdy and I don't think it would pop open from the weight. One of the hooks on the top where you can attach straps came off once while it was on the floor, which scared me, but it was fine when I attached a strap and carried it (without a pet, of course, but with some weight). The closures for the door can be somewhat confusing at first, but are actually really simple. If your kennel is falling apart, it likely wasn't put together correctly. Great product for what I payed. (However, it's my understanding that the price increased dramatically after I purchased this product.) ... show more

    • Great for my purpose, but not for long travel
This carrier is all plastic except for the door, which is some type of metal. It works. It was less expensive when I didn't have the money to spend on a more expensive one. What I liked - Easy to assemble. My cat fits in it (and, btw, she loved the paper that came with the package as a toy. LOL) She's a small cat. The carrier is sturdy and I've had no problems that way I didn't give it five stars on sturdiness because I can see a future problem. It performs the function of a carrier really well when it's just to the car then to the house. I let my cat out while traveling. What I didn't like - It's a little small for traveling. So, if you want one for traveling, get the next size up from what you think you need. I have a small cat and I wouldn't leave her in it for traveling. The locking method for the door. It's a bit cheesy. The prongs of the door fit into "locks" that are in the carrier (you install the locks - they snap in) and you line up the locks with the grooves in the carrier. Then you turn all four locks to keep the door in place when closed. If you want the door to swing, you have to turn two of the locks. It's awkward to deal with. The locks are plastic just like the body of the carrier, and I can see this becoming an issue after a lot of use. Also, I accidentally took the door off one time and my cat escaped! (She doesn't like to be confined in any way, shape, or form.) Because the carrier came in pieces, I'm wondering about future stability. The top and bottom snap together, so I'm a little concerned that with regular use it might come apart. I've only used it four times since I got it. All in all, if one is looking for an inexpensive carrier and doesn't expect it to be a travel carrier or to put heavy animals in it, it's great. Would I recommend it? Yes, I would. I'm satisfied with my purchase, and in the same circumstances, I would purchase it again. ... show more

The material is not the best (all plastic) but is easy to assemble. It is perfect for my cat and she loves it but only weights 9 pounds. I don't think this is the best option for pets weighting more than 10 pounds.

this had to be reput together with zip ties because if you would lift the animal up it would fall apart but after we cinched it it was guaranteed to last

I purchased this carrier to transport my mid-sized (9 lb) tabby cat to/from various locations. It was easy to put together, however, one of the plastic connectors repeatedly came off during transport. Once at our destination, my cat was able escape the carrier. Thankfully she was rounded up rather easily. The carrier is lightweight and less sturdy than I was expecting. Probably a decent carrier for a smaller pet. ... show more
