This crate had all parts included at arrival. I purchased this two-toned gray crate as a new product and received it as such. I would have immediately returned if it had been used or damaged. I assembled without any problems. The crate made with medium heavy plastic on 1/2 sides down, back and bottom with 4” inserted wire windows into plastic sections which secured the safety of the crate even more. I observed no exposed wire ends around the three inserted wire windows. The front gate seemed heavy duty and sturdy and was installed without problems. I placed the crate back on the floor and easily installed all four corner wires into designated holes at the same time for a safe/secure fit. I appreciated these holes were built up above the level of the top for added security fit. My dog weighs approx 10-11lbs. She is a small mixed dachshund/chihuahua. I would not recommend a larger dog or cat because I observed a strain on the top of gate when I carried her inside. The top of the crate would stretch and cause the gate wires to come out of their designated holes. The door could not be opened until I lifted the crate with her inside again and easily returned the gate wires to their designated holes. I would not recommend forcing the gate for fear of breaking the plastic holes or bending the gate door. I appreciate the door can be opened on either the left or right side. I appreciate the dual plastic locking devices…arthritic fingers. I would not recommend carrying a pet inside this crate for a long length of time. I suggest making the end door wires a bit longer so a bolt can be screwed to each wire end for added stability when the plastic crate pulls away from the gate wires. I bought this crate for safety while on short trips, shopping, distress alleviating exercises and while I vacuum and mop. She is terrified of all common home noises and mortified of being outside either with me or fear of being left outside alone. My little dog was one of a dozen small dogs living their entire lives in a small wire cage OUTSIDE in a horrible hoarding situation. Her dew claws are permanently damaged due to being caught in the floor wires and broken away from her foot bone. After a week of seeing this crate, short entries (all while holding the carrier) she now enters it on her on and rests peacefully. The bottom is sturdy and safe and all wire window inserts pose no threat to her safety and allows her to see me from all sides of the crate as I move around her. I did not need instructions to assemble this crate. 15 mins total. I am 67 years old.

This is such a great pet carrier. I bought this carrier because my cat has an upcoming vet appointment to be neutered and it is actually way more spacious than i had expected. My boy had plenty of space to really spread out. It was really easy to assemble and seems pretty sturdy. After putting it together, i set it on the floor and put one of his favorite blankets inside so he can become comfortable with the carrier. The second i put this thing down, my boy immediately went inside and hung out for a bit. Its like he KNEW it was meant for him.

UPDATE! I received my replacement and I am very pleased! (See original review below - first two photos are of the gross used one I received, last three photos are of the new one I received). This time I received a new product. It was completely wrapped in plastic and zip tied together. It was very easy to assemble. I was a little nervous because some reviews said the door in the lid won't stay open on its own. But mine does. It's easy to open. I will say I 100% agree with putting the screws upside down - I have small hands and figured I would put them in the correct way - NOPE! It would be a pain to put them in correctly and an even bigger pain to take apart (if needed). I opted to use it as a hidey hole/bed for my kitty long before we need to use it for travel, and so I left the two front bolts out as another reviewer recommended so the door can be easily removed and reinstalled. Again, I haven't used it yet, but it feels sturdy and my kitty slept in it and it was perfect for her (she weighs about 10 pounds). One star off for sending me a gross used one to start. Otherwise I'm very happy with my purchase and am happy to recommend it! Jan 15, 2026 - I ordered this item as brand new and it came obviously used. It is dirty with what appears to be dried diarrhea or vomit with animal hairs in it and has scratches all over. SO Gross. This review is solely based on receiving a clearly used, soiled item. I opted to return in exchange for the exact same item in the hopes I will get a new one. I will update this review once next one is received.

This is a perfect carrier for any pet who can chew through plastic. The wire provides safety, excellent airflow, and good visibility while allowing the bird some privacy. Most bird carriers are all plexiglass. Many birds don't like that much exposure, especially when they are unable to fly away from a perceived threat such as a stranger peering in for a closer look. Although the carrier is larger than many cat carriers, it is still easy to carry and not heavy. The door latch allows opening from either side and can also be easily removed & it is completely protected from a parrot's destructive beak. My African Grey Parrot loves this carrier. A permanent or temporary perch is an easy modification if wished.

I bought this for a long trip with my cat and the top door alone was worth it. Getting him into his old carrier was a full-on wrestling match every time — front door only, him bracing all four legs against the opening. With this one I just lift him in from the top and he’s in before he’s figured out what happened. No fighting, no scratches, no twenty minutes of chasing him around the apartment. It’s also a lot roomier than I expected. I put a folded blanket down to make it cozier and he still had plenty of space to stand up, turn around, and stretch out. He actually slept for most of the drive, which has never happened before. Feels solid too. The plastic doesn’t flex, the door latches securely, and there’s good ventilation on all sides so I could see him the whole time. Really glad I got this. Made the trip so much less stressful for all of us.

Alright I love this thing. My vet kinda hates that it doesn't fully come apart. I was delighted when I found out that the top opens (yeah, I guess I didn't read the title lol) . She still lowkey hates it. If you're looking to impress your vet then it's a no. Otherwise, for a good sturdy product that will last with extra support for a chonky Manx cat who will remain nameless.... An absolute dream. My previous carrier was slightly smaller and only had the plastic clips. It retired taped together when the clips started failing lol. I'm impressed. Also easier to get a cat in the front. Worth the price.
