ZT1 42 Cub Cadet. Easy install with oe bushing and two spacers. One each side. Ride is slightly harder but the tire won't keep coming off the rim. Definitely recommend.

I have a small garden tractor (John Deere x304) and I have a Cub Cadet trailor. I don’t use the trailer very often and the tires leaked air very slowly. It’s quite a wrestling match to get the tires off of the rim. So I got a pair of these. They are perfect for my application. The only downside side that I see is that the tires are not very grippy. The tires have tread but the material feels very smooth. Maybe smooth like a laundry detergent bottle. On my trailer, I could care less. But I don’t think I would put them on the tractor. It could be that they will roughen up with use. Then I might put them on the front of the tractor. Other reviews have mentioned that these tires ride rough. Again, on my trailer, I don’t care. Maybe they would be ok on the front of my tractor. I don’t think I would ever put them on the rear of the tractor.

I purchased these tires (2 in the set) to replace the tube tires on my Cub Cadet 42" tractor style mower. Because they were "Flat Free" solid tires, they had a larger diameter wheel hub than my originals and less tire, but combined equaled the same 15" overall height and fit onto my tractor perfectly. However, the tire width actually measures a little over 5" and not at 6" as advertised. Even though the tire has printed on the side "15X6.00-6NHS", it is still is only about 5 inches wide. For me, this will not make a difference, but if you have a sandy area to mow, they will not float over the sand as the wider neumatic tires will. Especially since the tire profile is more rounded on top and not as squared off as the original neumatic tire was. So they tend to dig into soft surfaces more than the tube tires did. Also, they are very solid and stiff which makes for a much harder ride since all of the front suspension depended on the air cushioned tire to absorb bumps. But it was worth it in exchange for the no flat feature. All the extra axel wheel bearings were included as advertised as well as two spare grease fittings which were not advertised. I have mowed my lawn twice, and so far, they have worked very nicely. I subtracted one star because of the incorrect tire width spec. Hope this helps!

I needed replacement tire/wheel assemblies in this tire size (for a still-functioning 1980's John Deere RX95 rear engine bagger riding mower) at a reasonable cost, and without requiring air for inflation, since it was difficult to keep the OEM JD RX95 front tires from being flat when you went to the shed to use the machine. These tire/wheel asemblies that are sold for zero turn machines were the best candidate to "make some JD replacements" from. A machinist friend was kind enough to do a lathe-trim reduction of the hub length of these so that they would install and run on the ancient RX95 machine. They are much stronger than the JD OEM wheels, with upgraded sealed bearings (the bearings supplied with these have black poly dust seals instead of open ball bearing cages). Whether you are buying these wheels for a standard zero-turn machine, or making them into a solution for an outdated machine, have confidence in the quality of the tire and wheel, plus the excellent bearings that are furnished. My hub shortening included deletion of the grease zerks. Sealed bearings don't need the grease zerks, that feature is what designers include to support sleeve bearings. I chose this wheel also for the slight "tread" pattern instead of the typical smooth castering wheel used on zero turn machines, since the old RX95 machine steers by way of the front axle, where these were installed. All in all, a high quaity product, highly recommend!
