How long do the SmartChlor cartridges last? Each silver SmartChlor Cartridge lasts 3 to 4 weeks depending on the size of your hot tub and how often it is used. Our hot tub water has cleared up and remains clear and we set our dial at four. We have found that we don’t need as many chemicals when using the frog system versus regular chlorine pucks. If you are sensitive to chlorine, and you don’t want to sit with chlorine steam going up your nose and into your eyes, then I highly recommend you try these out.
