These are the BEST saltwater aquarium lights on the market! I've tried them all! I started out with one and then added another. My coral is thriving, and my fish love it. Aqua Illumination customer service is the BEST I've ever experienced. If you have any questions/problems, they are on it. I had a problem with my first light and they tried walking me through some troubleshooting. They finally decided to send me a new light, no questions! My 9 year old Deresa had done OK on other LED fixtures, but had gotten so big its mantle was darkening with the extra zooxanthellae it needed to stay fed. Take a look at the difference in color and pattern after 4 months! The moonlight is a great feature as it keeps that part of the hallway somewhat lit for us in the evenings and extends the time we get to enjoy the tank. a lot of reviews had problems but i rolled the dice. 3 lights. its a lot of cast to put out so i crosses my finger. turns out i didn't need to worry. all 3 lights arrived new and unopened. the AI or Mobus app was a big win for me. i have MP40 pumps and only need one app for them both. im replacing gen 3 xr30 pro gen 3, and the look is amazing. im running the 3 hydra 64s at 50% with a 100-129 par on the sand. my system is 60x30x24. 30 inches deep means i need strong lights, and they get 100 par at 50% on the bottom. i have a mixed reef with lots of acros. and loving the lights. ... show more

Great light. I purchased 6 of these lights and am very happy with the purchase. Just a warning, I strongly recommend you do NOT have amazon fulfill the purchase. The lights I had fulfilled by Amazon had virtually no protection for the lights. The lights I had fulfilled directly with saltwater aquarium.com had great padding. ... show more

    • Nice improvement over Hydra 52’s, but no storm effects
I wanted to replace my AI Hydra 52’s, and decided to stick with AI so as to not have to buy new mounting hardware. Happy with these so far - better coverage, quieter, and warmer; really shows off the colors of the fish and corals, and don’t seem to produce as much algae as the 52’s did. Absolutely amazing. I did have to tune down the lights significantly to protect my corals as previously lights were standard Chinese black boxes then slowly increase intensity. Overkill for fish only tanks but highly recommended for reef tanks.
