Purchased this for a 10 gallon aquarium. Tested it upon receipt and it works great. If I get a few years out of it I'll be happy. Easy to set up and operate. Works on batteries so no need to worry if power goes out temporarily while this is set up.

Its the best purchase ever! I was always worried about why my fish was looking skinnier. They are normally fed once a day when I came back from work but was not enough, specially the discus. After I purchased the first feeder I monitored the amount of feed and the overall look of the fish, It was a game changer! Small portions every 8 hours make a great difference. They still getting my personal interaction when I get home but they look more plump, they have grown since then. I'll recommend to try the portions to dispense out of the tank first to make sure you do not throw all the food available at once (which will be a disaster!), I got 2 and I will get more for all my tanks. It will be also a good help when we go on vacation, since I have a really bad experience leaving that task for someone else which ended up with a super murky water and sick fish in just one week.

All the fish were healthy when we returned and no over spill of food. We did try the night before our trip just to make sure things were operating properly. Used on a 20g for reference.

This is broken in 2 months. This was used in my outdoor pool. When I checked after 2 months, water has gone inside, the food was a gooey mess and it does not work even after changing batteries. A waste of $18.

Very easy to set up. Went away for a little over two weeks and this worked better than any dissolvable vacation feeder that could potentially add ammonia to your tank. I Set it to feed every 12 hours. When I got home the tank was crystal clear and my fish was doing great! Highly recommend this product. I used my own brand new batteries for extra safety, it does come with batteries. You can stick it to the tank or use the apparatus they provide to prop it onto the tank in any position. You don’t even hear it when it turns to feed, it’s extremely quiet. If you’re a frequent traveler or just seeking a reliable way to feed the fish while you’re gone 1 day or 20, this is a great product. Filled the barrel (a little more than half full) with flakes. It probably could have fed my fish for a month and half no problem. Great value, great performance and nice capacity.

I want to do this because I go on long trips and my tank is really large so I can't just move it downstairs for someone to feed my fish. The last time I left my fish for a weekend it seemed to not be doing as well so I bought some treats and was hoping to use this feeder so it would have a routine and not have to worry about food not being available. But when I tried to use it 1/4 of the food in it came out and poured out. I had to scoop it out because I didn't want my fish to overeat and die. I tried taping it so only a slip portion of it would come out but unfortunately that didn't work so it's unusable. You return window pass because I was on vacation and I wanted to make sure that it was there when I could get back. I tried fixing it so only a portion of it would come out okay. It was ineffective. I just have it sitting around the house now.
