I’m a huge fan of the Franklin brand paddles. I own a few and rotate them. I’ve tried other brands including Joola, Gearbox, and Padeltek but the Franklins just feel the best for me. The 14mm is light and the long handle of the tour dynasty allows me to use my two hand backhand. This paddle allows me to direct the ball where I want. Franklin did a fantastic job engineering the 16mm Dynasty. I really appreciate the control and power of the paddle. The sweet spot spans throughout the entire paddle head. It does not twist when the ball contacts hard. Handles very good in dinking situations and fast rallies. Several opponents are impressed with the power as well. The only change I made was removing the grip tape and replacing it with two layers of Wilson brand over grip tape. I found the original grip too plush. ... show more

Way too heavy. And I don't like the feel of the grip either. I used to imagine that I would like heavy paddles but, like most others, I found that I do not like the heavy paddles. They are functionable in singles play but you will usually really not like in doubles because you have to quickly adjust the paddle to volleys at the net, and the lightness obviously feels much better in that common situation. ... show more
