My title is the most important part. My situation was I couldn’t find a reader that does EPB maintenance on my 2019 Toyota RAV4. Simple retracting and engaging/disengaging of the brakes. This did the job hands down and damn it’s a good looking tool, very happy.

This scanner is perfect for a do-it-yourself mechanic, and has many great options for diagnostic tests and very detailed with the live data, you can graph a single component and compare it with another, save the date for before & after repair, auto search the vin so any vehicle specific codes can be recognized, and the list goes on!! I had a GREAT EXPERIENCE with the customer service, and they go the distance to serve their customers. You won't find any other service that can compare to their customer service. Quite a bit more menu diving than some other high end scanners I have used in the past. Some of the menus aren't super clear and real time monitoring isn't quite as good as I expected based what I read about it before purchasing. That out of the way, it works as it should. Helped me sort everything out I needed in the absence of my other scanner. I will definitely be taking this on long trips with me so I can quickly diagnose any issues that might pop up. If you need a scanner to diagnose codes and do a few more things than what the most basic scanners do I would recommend this one. ... show more

    • Same diagnosis as dealer
I received the same code as the dealer and a different mechanic I visited. The machine also gave me a narrative that was easier to understand than most of the internet descriptions I got for the code. The machine gives multiple suggestions on where to look for the problem and suggests fixing, but does not give any severe warning related to this code. I think it would give a strong warning if the problem was more significant. The check engine light is due to the 02 sensors in an after market exhaust system (Borla). The dealer cleared the code, but told me it would come back and it did within 50 miles. I cleared it with this machine and it came back within 20 miles. ... show more

It came in an obviously opened box. It had 3 previously loaded vehicles stored in it that I had to delete. Seems to work just fine, but I paid for new, I wanted new.
