The media could not be loaded. I just received this and it was packaged well. It came with a coupon code good for 30% off of my next order and signing up to their website provides additional special offers, which is pretty sweet. The light looks and feels like it's well made and it's pretty bright inside the room I'm in (it's noon, clear skies in FL, and my window shades are open on 3 large windows). Even with the room flooded by sunlight, it lit up the wall some 15 feet away and performed extremely well at arm's length. I bought this for close-up lighting usually associated with camping, so I think it's going to do very well in that area. I have a 3 day, 2 night camping trip planned for next week and hopefully it will rain so I can give this a real world evaluation. I will post an update and let you know how it goes. Overall, I'm impressed with the quality for the price upon my initial unpacking, so I'm rating it 4 stars for now and will reevaluate with my future update. If this performs as well as I expect I will be taking advantage of that discount and ordering more. UPDATE: I've been using it every night since I received it. It's great for walking Scooby and also worked out great on a 2 night camping trip. The range is good for in camp but it's not going to light up whatever it is making those noises beyond the treeline. Was is a bear? a bigfoot? some creepy guy like that one uncle every family has but doesn't want to talk about? I'll never know but that's part of the fun when camping! =) I got caught in a pretty hard rain while using it and it didn't skip a beat. Very happy for how lightweight and comfortable it is. It's soooooo much better than messing with a hand-held flashlight. Scooby absolutely loves it. When he's wearing it he thinks he's the coolest dog on the block, which, of course, he is. Just watching him running around with it on in the back yard was worth every penny. EDIT 9-13: The photo with Scooby sitting by the fire was taken in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. These lights performed so well they had enough power to spare so Scooby could get his nightly play time in. Read my comments below for more detail about how awesome Foxelli products are. This is super lightweight, and a great price compared to Black Diamond or similar brands of rechargeable lightweight headlamps. Fantastic for camping/backpacking, comfortable to wear, and so light and compact that I can just toss it in my backpack for day hikes in case of emergencies. Yesterday my boyfriend and I were going to hike a 6-mile loop and be back ~2 hours before sundown. We’re both experienced hikers but I guess somehow took the wrong turn or something, and found ourselves lost and still hiking deep in the woods (in the pouring rain) by the time the sun set, with both of our phones dead. It was a new moon, there was no starlight due to cloud cover, we were too far from any cities to see any haze from light pollution, the tree cover was incredibly thick, it was raining HARD, and you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face. Much less tell where the trail was. We were soaked through with no gear and the temperature was way into hypothermia-area, with everything much too wet to start a fire or make a torch. Thank god I had this little light with me. It’s plenty bright enough for 2 people and 2 dogs to eventually find their way out of the woods and back to the main road, has enough battery life to last many hours of hiking without getting dim, and was able to withstand the rain fine (granted, it was worn under the brim of a baseball cap, but still got soaked). I’ve owned this for months and it’s always worked great for camping and stuff, but I felt compelled to write a review now that it pretty much saved me from dying from hypothermia in the woods last night. I’m buying one for my boyfriend too and another to keep in my car/purse. Would recommend. ... show more
