  • Great pixel
Color: Moonstone Size: 256GB Style: Pixel 10 Pro XL (Phone Only)
Great phone, fast even though there's no snapdragon, tensor of more than capable. AI is awesome, it helps even when you didn't know you needed it!

  • The best Android phone I've used to date
Color: Moonstone Size: 512GB Style: Pixel 10 Pro (Phone Only)
I love this phone. It's the perfect size, has plenty of horsepower, and just looks really great. You get the vanilla Android 16 experience with the new material design 3, which is a refreshing change in the UI garbage that other companies shoehorn in. This phone also receives day one security patches unlike most competitors. And this is also the very first phone that I've owned that could live up to its 7-year support window. Literally my only complaint is that I didn't buy it sooner. ... show more

  • T-Moble: Migrate your SIM card to the eSIM
Color: Obsidian Size: 256GB Style: Pixel 10 Pro XL (Phone Only)
For the U.S. version of all Pixel 10 phones, there is no SIM card slot -- you must activate an eSIM. I was able to switch from my old Pixel 6 Pro (on T-Mobile) to a new Pixel 10 Pro XL without going to a T-Mobile store. Here's what I learned: 1) Both phones should have at least 50% charge. Good to also have your old phone's files backed up on Google/Android (System > Backup). 2) Log into T-Mobile's website and make sure your old phone has its SIM card unlocked! (Required to move to the eSIM on the U.S. Pixel 10 phones.) 3) While on T-Mobile's website, go to: Tutorials > Google > Pixel 10 > eSIM > How to swap SIMs from an old device to a new device (T-Mobile also has instructions for migrating to a Pixel 10 from other android phones that are using T-Mobile.) 4) Follow the instructions step by step. (I selected a full copy of everything, and it took about 40 minutes.) TIP: even if you start the migration using Wi-Fi, you can link the old and new phones with a USB-C cable for faster file transfer. For me, I forgot to unlock the SIM on my old phone, so Android's transfer software caught that and I then unlocked the SIM card via T-Moble's website -- but that may have caused problems downstream. For me, the transfer hung around 94% complete and showed that Text Messages weren't transferred. So I eventually gave up. An hour or two later T-Mobile magically activated the eSIM on the new phone and deactivated the old SIM card -- and all of my Text messages + Text photos (SMS and MMS) arrived on the new phone. ---------------- As for the Pixel 10 Pro XL, I'm not crazy about the rounded corners or all the "AI-knows-best", but Settings gives you great control of your phone and it's a nice improvement over my old Pixel 6 Pro. Read the reviews to find out if Pixel 10 is something for you. Camera oddity: yes, it's a 48 megapixel main camera sensor, but the photos you get are only 12 megapixel. That's because the software combines multiple pixels to improve images and handle low light. Currently, only the Pixel 10 Pro XL allows you to skip the image enhancement and get all 48 megapixels in a photo. So that's the tradeoff: lots of pixels from a very small sensor, or improved latitude + noise and better night vision. I'm into photography, so personally I'll probably go for beautiful 12 megapixel RAW images, then upscale in post if I need it. ... show more

  • Not the phone upgrade you are looking for
Color: Obsidian Size: 256GB Style: Pixel 10 Pro XL (Phone Only)
I am going from a Pixel 6 to a Pixel 10 Pro XL. You would think this would mean a massive upgrade but for the last week I've used the phone, it has been a slow buggy mess. I play a lot of mobile games and all of them run much slower than even my Pixel 6. There is constant frame stutters and graphical glitches. Some games won't even install as the GPU is not recognized by some games. Installing apps from the Play store won't create shortcuts on your home screen until hours later if at all. The only improvement over my Pixel 6 is the fingerprint recognition actually works. The facial unlock on the other hand is still hit or miss with about a 50 percent success rate. My iPad on the other hand will facial unlock 100 percent of the time even if I am 45 degrees off center and a few feet away by comparison. There is no charger included which is standard these days, but means unless you have a 45 watt charger, you will not get fast charging. I have tried several chargers or various wattages (65, 25, 15) and the phone limits you to slow charging. Then there is the battery life protection monitor which will limit you to 80 percent charge after only 100 charge cycles. The battery lasts all day for now but I am afraid to charge it so I don't waste my cycles. So far I have been just disappointed and regret upgrading when I clearly didn't need to as my Pixel 6 still had 2 more years worth of updates left. I don't recommend it at all unless you have money burning a hole in your wallet. Even then I would wait for the next iteration. ... show more

  • Solid phone with forced features that can't be turned off or removed.
Color: Obsidian Size: 512GB Style: Pixel 10 Pro (Phone Only)
Solid phone, but coming from Samsung's, I was disappointed to find out that Pixels used to be able to cast to Samsung TVs and Roku's but they took that away to force people to their Chromecast standard. My past Motorola and Samsung phones have all been able to do this. Even friends iPhones have been able to do some of that. Also their screens don't let you remove the search bar on the bottom of the screen or the At A Glance on the top of the main screen. Its fine to have it, but to not be able to remove or disable it makes this phone start feeling like an iPhone. The phone dialer/launcher is pretty terrible as well. Again, an option for a standard dialer interface should be provided without having to dig through a pile of ad covered options in the Play store. Debating whether or not to send it back and go with a Samsung S25 or see about the S26 in a couple of months. Still have a few weeks to decide. Now google is taking away the ability to side load apps. Why? Why not just keep a security warning/notice in there and let users decide what they want to place on THEIR phone. Google can and should do better. ... show more
