Thought it was a bit pricey but well worth the expense. This is the only ladder I could find that has a small mount footprint. Most wall-mounted units have long extensions downwards that would not have worked for my loft access location. It was pretty easy to install with two guys and went up in about 20 minutes. Climbs really well and operates just like in their video. Product seems well made and is sturdy enough for a 200 lb guy like me to be comfortable using it. Not as rigid as an extension ladder but that was not expected. Only complaint is the excessive packaging. Product is VERY well packed. They must have experienced issues at some point because the packaging they now use is ridiculous. Filled three 20 gallon trash bags with stretch wrap and EPS foam. A lot of plastic that isn’t recyclable. Not to mention the six 1/8” plywood panels and the double-wall cardboard box. That said, the ladder arrived in perfect condition. Good product so far and would recommend.

I used this latter as a second level access stairs for my finished shed. I have a second level and I wanted a sturdy set of stairs. Once installed these worked really well to go to that level. They feel very sturdy after install, but beware they are very heavy and you will need help to secure them.

Got this for regular access to my loft bedroom. The ladder itself is sturdy, well built, and I'm quite comfortable going up and down it daily. However, after a few weeks of regular use (going up to bed at night, coming down in the morning) the ladder will no longer stay folded up. Not sure what to do about that, but I'll need to figure something out as I don't want this ladder in the middle of my living space all the time. I don't know if this product is meant for regular/daily use. Also, quite dangerous to suddenly come unfolded and fall down, I was lucky not to be under it the first time it did so. Update: The ladder comes with 2 extra steps. I had added these on to make the climb a bit shallower. I decided to take these off. It's a steeper climb, but the ladder now stays up where it is supposed to be, and comes down smoother. It is a good quality product.

Really happy with the ladder and how easy it is to get down and put back up. They should provide a mounting template for easier installation but I just made my own from some MDF I had lying around. It takes at least 2 people to install but goes really quick with 3. I bought some carriage bolts because I was mounting through some thicker boards than the bolts provided would fit.

I bought this a little while ago for the loft in my garage and just installed 10/14/25. I used the extra 2 steps to make it not a steep step. First impression is I like it. I can’t attest to the longevity of the product yet. The pull down handle/rod is flimsy in my opinion but works.

The ladder does what it does... get used to the bouncy step action as it is spring loaded. And because mine was next to a wall, I installed a hand rail just in case for balance. The ladder is super strong. At 220 lbs I went up and jumped up and down all the way just to test it. If you add the 2 extra steps, use the included tool, or steel rod in my case, to adjust the spring tension... Put the tool into the lowest hole near the bolt on the spring wheel. (Note: the bolt is not screwed in; it is free and will most likely drop out on the next step)...Give it some muscle and lift up until you see the next available hole past the bolt or where the bolt originally was. Put the bolt in the new hole and turn the bolt so the head is resting on one of it's sides. Slowly release the tension until the bolt catches; you may have to carefully hold the sides of the bolt to keep it in as you release the tension. Do this on both sides and I guarantee the ladder isn't going to fall down.

Good sturdy product however, it’s on the pricey side. It also only came with expandable hardware for mounting to masonry. If you’re securing it to wood you’ll need to buy mounting hardware. It’s also a two person install.

The loft ladder was easy to install. It does take two people, one to hold it up while the other drills and screws it into place. It is perfect for a loft storage we have in our garage. This ladder is easy to pull down and get up onto the loft without having to drag out an extension ladder to get up there.
