I bought this to replace a cheap, plastic folding step which provide no support. If you want a sturdy, high quality step stool that's very easy to use, this is the stool. It give a petite person just enough height to reach taller shelves. I use it in my laundry room and it collapses neatly between my washer and dryer. Seems sturdy tho the steps are plastic so I dunno how to feel about that. I didn’t have anyone to take a pic of me near the stool but I used the front door as a reference to size while open so you can kinda see how high you can go. And I put my hand in the try so you can see the depth of it, not too deep so it’s probably only really good for nails and not like tools or other things ... show more

Purchased this as a replacement for another one that literally wore out after several years' nearly constant use. Rubber caps on the legs help stability. Only suggestion is for a wider, squared-off bar on top.

Ladder is sturdy and exactly as described. I would recommend this for everyone. A ladder should be high enough that you should never have to stand on the top step. I can reach the ceiling from the second step. Rubbermaid is a quality product.
