From the Manufacturer DeWalt DXL3010-04 4 foot extra heavy duty fiberglass stepladder with a 300 pound capacity that includes many practical benefits. One key feature of DeWalt fiberglass step ladders is the mega step, designed to provide 25-Percent more standing surface on useable steps. Handy Top is designed with innovative features to improve the user’s performance when working electrical, utility, heavy construction, and residential jobs. The top includes a magnet tray, hardware tray, curved ergonomic front, drill and tool slots, paint bucket holder, and a pipe or 2x4 holder to increase productivity. The DeWalt step ladder is manufactured with impact absorbing bottom bracing, designed to absorb the abuse from heavy duty users. It also includes a boot style shoe that is non marring, slip resistant extra wide foot pad, and gives added protection to the outside lower ladder rail. Double rivet step construction, each step has an angle brace and is secured with six large headed, semi tubular steel rivets for maximum strength, 30-Percent greater shear strength than solid aluminum rivets. Nonconductive full channel rails are covered with a polyester veil for years of service without fiber prominence or blooming when prolonged exposure to elements is necessary. Heavy duty inside spreader braces that are pinch resistant and extra thick spreader braces located inside of fiberglass rails help protect braces from getting hooked or abused in transit.

while i did find several similar ladders at a lower price none of those were made as well, as sturdy as this one appeared to be. while it may have priced a little more considering the cost of having to get medical treatment these days if you happen to fall? not worth it for me by a long shot. the ladder arrived via amazon shippers. i have never had them at our residence before but WOW i have never had a better experience period! i knew where they were using the provided gps route map. i knew how many stops until ours and they even called in advance to be sure we were around for delivery, excellent! the ladder construction was just as i had hoped for based on the photos here and reviews. it is solid, light and a perfectly designed ladder. having wider feet and four of them unlike some results in better stability. *note - i only made mention of the delivery portion as for this product unlike others, it's part of the ownership 'experience.' is very important considering most of us have more to do than time to do it in. so i didn't lose a whole day waiting and watching and that for me adds value to the ladder. to close up for myself this is a five star ladder all day long so to speak. there is nothing i would change and i would without reservation recommend this to family, friends, to anyone. ... show more

The DeWalt ladder is manufactured by Louisville and has many of the same features as a standard Louisville ladder. For a couple extra dollars however, the DeWalt gives you a slightly wider middle step and extra reinforcement on all rungs of the ladder (including the one you're not supposed to stand on). The tool holder at the top is very handy with many (I think 4) holes for screwdrivers, a medium size hexagonal hole that's useful for holding pliers or similarly shaped tools, and a large hexagonal hole that is perfect for a hammer or a drill. There is also a hook on the back of the tool holder for hanging a paint bucket (I don't believe you can see this in any of the product pictures). Finally, the built in magnet strip is incredibly convenient for keeping bits and screws in place. All in all the ladder is durable, I feel safe on it (the extra wide step seems to be help with that), and the tool holder has useful features to assist with any project. ... show more

I am a big fan of Dewalt products and wanted to purchase a smaller ladder to do smaller jobs around the house. It has great build quality, and seems like it will hold up great. The downside like other reviews the ladder came with alot of scuffs and scratches. I like to keep my tools and items nice and well maintained however for something new it looks like its a few years old. The box it shipped in was perfect so clearly these ladders are being shipped out with surface quality issues. If scuffs or scratches on a ladder doesnt bother you by all means get it! Otherwise id buy this in person somewhere else. Id give it 5 stars if it looked like a new unit. ... show more

Ladder is exceptional piece of equipment. The super wide steps give a secure feel under your feet. The Black and yellow coloring really stands out on the jobsite offering the impression of innovation and proffesionalism. As with using all DeWalt products one achieves a certain pride and dignity unparalleled with other brands, thus commanding awe and jealousy amongst peers. Ladder is of equal height to competitors although the DeWalt logo allows you to achieve greater heighths with elevated sense of confidence. Only 2 minor inconveniences; The multitude of tool holder holes in the top of unit leaves no place to set screws, bolts, nuts or snacks without falling through. Top of ladder (black portion) difficult to stand on because of aforementioned tool holder holes and channels, not that I would ever illegally stand on the top as that is not an OSHA approved step and I only do such ladder activities by the rules. ... show more

    • Dependable ladder
I ordered the 10' ladder for various tasks around the home. As a woman, I don't think I could physically maneuver/handle a taller ladder. Solidly made and sturdy. Some reviews complained about the ladder appearing used. First off, when you order it you choose a specific time frame for delivery and the reason is you need to sign for it. The reason you need to sign for it is because the product is not boxed and literally comes off the truck as is. It has literally traveled from the supplier by multiple trucks to your home so you can expect it to look not so brand new. My attitude is it's a ladder! Who cares if it is slightly scratched? It was covered in what I would refer to a greasy dirt but wipes off easily. Again, you are purchasing it for its use and practicality, not to showcase it in your home.
