Ok finally installed the on demand hot water heater. Installation was easy except my old ten gallon was controlled by a computer in my camper so we had to troubleshoot why we couldn’t get 12v Ended up having to run a separate ground to the panel. The Fogatti on demand hot water heater 50000 BTUs starts up and according to the remote on the wall heats to 125 degrees however at the faucets it’s only warm enough to not be chilled when taking a shower. So if you are like I am and sometimes wants a lobster cooking shower this is not the item for you. However if you want a long warm shower this is it. I found that you must have either hot or cold water as the unit will not turn on unless you have only the hot water on. Meaning no mixing at the faucet. It’s either hot or cold. But it will not scald you no matter how long the hot water runs. Update the unit works great super hot water must have been an air bubble in the unit or something. I’m a full-timer and it worked great this winter. Super hot water and for 20+ minutes. We have never ran out of hot water. Heats up fast. Best purchase Had an issue this summer with cooler water temperatures. I let Faogatti know the issue and they sent me a new motherboard and that fixed the problem. I have a keystone hornet camper. The original water heater burst during a surprise freeze. This slipped right into the opening of the original water heater. Was simple and easy to hook up the water, gas and 12v wiring. It works great. I can set the perfect temp and I don’t even have to mix with cold water when showering. This thing is so bad I wish I had my 6gallon heater back in my camper. You get hot water but after about a min in the shower if goes freezing then about 30sec to 1.5min later it goes scalding hot for 30sec then freezing cold again. If you want an instant heater you'd be better routing you water hose over the fire pit and using that to heat the incoming water. Buy literally any other model but this one.     • Do your research before you purchase
When it was first installed it was great, it’s been about a week or so and when it heats up to the desired temperature it throws the E8 code. Shut the water off and try again. Same. Over 600$ and it’s already failing. Due your research before you buy. I’ve already contacted Fogatti and am awaiting a response. This is not amazons fault, it is the product. Update: emailed fogatti and they had me change a few settings. So far it’s working, hopefully it stays working. ... show more

This is not the upgraded model seems to be overstock of older product fuse differences drip pain not sure what else did receive upgraded controller. My rv tech sales these discounted new ones and discounted didn’t know already order this 55btu you will need some no how to install this was work to install in my forest river ozark be prepared. But once installed it’s fantastic and I would say the lessor btu would be the same just as good and highly recommended So far no issues so unless something changes it’s a plus for me the rv tech said he has replace 22 of the furron older models and has one of these in his rv no issue 1 year ... show more
