Features

  • Unprecedented experienceThe high altitude suitability mode enables the machine to operate smoothly even when driving the caravan to the high Denver plateau at 9,800 feet. The staged combustion technology controls the flame intensity in summer, prevents the water from getting too hot, and conserves the limited propane gas available for caravan travel.
  • All RV water heaters can be replacedThe Fogatti RV water heater is versatile and compatible with a wide range of applications. With a 13 x 13 inches opening, it can replace Suburban & Atwood's 6-gallon tank water heaters and Girard & Furrion's tankless water heaters. If you were previously using a 10-gallon tank water heater, you will need to retrofit it with an 18 x 18 inches door.
  • Incessant hot waterWith 55,000 BTU of power, it can produce a maximum of 2.9 gallons per minute (GPM) of hot water. Unlike some tank heaters that can only store up to 6-10 gallons of hot water and run out of hot water in 5-8 minutes, our hot water supply lasts over 40 minutes. Added a 21.5 cubic inch constant temperature chamber to address water temperature fluctuations caused by intermittent opening.
  • Save money and troubleFogatti cares for you and has included a pressure relief valve in the product, so you don't have to purchase and install it separately. Additionally, it comes with a 15 x 15 inchees door, a 17.64" x 17.64" decorative frame, and an intelligent remote controller that can be used up to 2 meters away.
  • Safety and reliabilityWe added a filter screen to filter out large particles of dust and sand in the water. The product is CSA certified and has multiple safety features, including a built-in forced exhaust fan on top, stable combustion, automatic gas shut-off for accidental flame failure, and anti-freeze protection.

  • Great replacement water heater for our Micro Minnie
Style: InstaShower 8 Plus Color: White
What a happy find, once I determined this could replace an unrepairable Atwood AD5001 on-demand water heater in our 2015 Winnebago Micro Minnie travel trailer, when supplemented with a 15”x18” door purchased separately to replace the 15”x15” door that comes with the unit. Figuring that out did take a bit of effort, due in part to varying dimensions cited in different sources. The actual size of the metal case, 12.7”Wx12.7”Hx13.8”D, fit neatly into the space of the old unit, with only slight tweaking of the trailer-wall opening (squaring its rounded corners using a small saw). Don’t be misled by alternative dimensions that may include the detachable door, the metal flange which fastens to the outside wall, and/or the projecting water and gas connectors at the rear. All of these could be accommodated by our Micro Minnie. Self-installation proved manageable if not without some challenges. Chief among those was the need to reconfigure the trailer’s hot water outlet connection, accomplished with some standard parts obtainable from a full-service hardware such as Ace or Tru-Value. Some might need or want some expert assistance with this. With now over a month of regular use, including multiple showers, the heater has performed flawlessly. It keeps water at a consistent temperature - regulated by the on-board controller- for substantial durations, much better than our former heater ever did (subject presumably to the usual caveats for this type of heater, as having adequate water pressure and avoiding running water elsewhere while showering). So far, we could hardly be more satisfied. ... show more

  • very easy installation. worked great and easy to use.
Style: InstaShower 8 Pro Color: White
Had some door sizing and interference issues with my rv. Was not hard to figure out. Hope Fogatti holds up better than our suburban water heater.

  • Off-grid hot water solution
Style: InstaShower 8 Plus Color: White
Using for an off-grid cabin. Follow other reviews' instructions on installing pressure relief valve. Took me a while to figure out all the parts I needed to make it work for a cabin rather than an RV. Lots of trips back and forth from the hardware store, but alas, it works and water is HOT!!! Wife and I use it for showers and washing dishes. Hooks up to a standard grill tank. NOTE: Use a 100 psi pressure relief valve. NOT the standard 150 PSI valve you commonly find at Lowes or Home Depot. Fogatti sells the right one on Amazon. 12/2022 UPDATE: So, most of the US just went through the deep freeze. During this time, water inside the heater froze causing a part to rupture and water was spraying like crazy inside the unit. I called Fogatti and spoke to an actual person on US soil without a foreign accent. I'd add an extra star for this if i could. I explained the issue and texted them an image of the part that broke and they immediately shipped me out a replacement part! If I were to knock off a start for the part breaking, I'd have to add ot back just because of the customer service. So I still remain at 5 stars for this product. It's actually 6 stars because I spoke to an actual American. 1/2023 UPDATE: Shipping was slow. Very slow. But the part was very easy to replace. While i was waiting for the part to come in, it still made hot water even though it was leaking. Do I still give it a 5 star? Almost. I'd say a 4.9 star. 4/2023 Update: Not sure if I can recommend this anymore. A few days ago the water heater stopped turning on. I connected a multimeter to the 12V batter and am ready 12V. Tested the wires that go from the battery to the unit' still getting 12V. Tested the wires coming from the unit, going into the remote - 0V. Spoke with customer service and they were very pleasant to work with. Again, it was personnright here in the US and not some foreign call center that you can't understand. So anyways, I spoke with the support tech and he asked me to check a few more things and he determined it may be the board that has gone bad. They're shipping me a new one, and while I do appreciate the good customer service, this thing isn't even a year old and it already needs new parts. I do have a 5 year warranty, so I'll he able to get parts for the next 5 years, but after that, if this thing still keeps breaking, I'm going to have to look for a different unit. If Fogatti's units were as superb as their customer service, this would be a 5/5 stars all day. Dropping to a 3 star. It would be a 1 star as far as reliability, but their customer service is so good it brings them up to a 3. If I get these new parts and I don't have any problems anymore, it'll go back to 5 stars if it stays problem free. 6/2023 Update: Git the parts, installed and it wasnt working still. Spoke with Fogatti again. We used the multimeter to see the voltage going into the unit: 11.67V. Apparently this was way to low and it won't turn on. My led lights turned on, but not my water heater. I rewired a few things and got it plugged into my solar power station, sure enough, it's turned on with hot water. It wasn't them after all. I need to calll the technician again so I can confirm he was right. 5 stars again. What a rollercoaster lol ... show more

  • Order this over Furrion, Girard, or anything Lippert
Style: InstaShower 8 Plus Color: White
This is the 3rd water heater I’ve been through in one year. The short of it is this - first two water heaters were Furrion. 1st was original, and 2nd was warranty replacement. 2nd Furrion was still under warranty when it died. Lippert, who now owns Furrion, is WORTHLESS for customer service, they just started ignoring my emails and won’t even try. Such poor customer service, there’s no words. Anyway, that’s the past now. Fogatti gets 4 stars. It wasn’t without issue either, but it works now. When I first installed the Fogatti, I would only get an E5 code, no hot water at all. I remember reading forum posts about the Furrion units that had E5 code problems (exhaust fan blockage). On my Fogatti unit, there was no blockage in either the fan or the tube. Out of desperation, because we hadn’t had hot water in weeks (full time RV’ers), and this was the 3rd water heater we’d been through, I removed and re-mounted the fan motor relay unit thingy (the more accessible part where the clear tube attaches) upside down. Just a shot in the dark. Weirdly, that took care of the E5 code. This unit works *perfectly*, and I mean *perfecty* now. Cons: - I had E5 trouble initially - Slightly, ***very very very slightly*** less temperature stable than Furrion - 20 minute timeout can be annoying Pros: - It’s sensitive enough to turn on even with water flow being on the low side - It gets a small bit hotter than Furrion at a given temperature setting - A bit more efficient use of propane than Furrion - Freeze protection that works (we get snow here) - It actually works reliably, unlike Furrion!!! I told Lippert I would bad mouth them and be forever biased against them because they just decided to ignore me rather than replace their product which still has 3 months left on the warranty. They’re lame-o’s. So, this Fogatti gave me troubles initially, but since I sorted that, it’s worked perfectly for a month now. Only question at this point will be longevity. If it breaks, I’ll update here. Thank you Fogatti! Have QC take a closer look at those E5 codes. But good job overall. ... show more
