The media could not be loaded. I’m gonna be honest with you. This is not the first gaming chair my son has owned. He please games frequently and for extended periods of time, especially during the pandemic. His last chair needed replaced because the gear mechanism to the reclining feature became stripped. The first thing I noticed was the weight of the box. Since this isn’t our first go around with a gaming chair, I noticed that the weight of the box was significantly heavier than his other chair. When we opened it up we discovered why. The actual base of the chair is metal and is very thick making the chair very sturdy. The seat and the back are probably double the thickness of his previous chair. My son said it looked like the seats from our car. So right away we were very impressed with the materials and construction of this chair. It was really easy to assemble. It really only took about 10 minutes to get it out of the box and belt. Because it was so heavy it help to have two people. However, it certainly could be done with one person. All the mechanisms and devices on this chair seem to be just as high-quality as what we had discovered when we open the box with the base and the seat and the back. Very impressed. It didn’t seem to have any odor or off guessing smell. The chair was ready to be used immediately. It has a lot of ways to adjust for comfort. The armrest themselves have multiple ways to adjust up and down, in an out, and back-and-forth. The armrests are wide and wipeable. He absolutely loves it and feels that it is a really high-quality chair. He does spend a lot of time in it, so I think it’s important that he is comfortable and that it provides support for his back. I am a hefty boy and this seems to be better made. I have had it about a week using it about 4hrs/day and it seems more stable than other chairs purchased. The all metal base certainly helps, and it appears the seat is more padded and sturdy than comparable chairs for the price. Don't know how long it'll hold up, but it's a good start. Oh invest in some better wheels, the ones provided are your standard ones and a 20-30 dollar replacement makes sense. ... show more

The chair was super easy to assemble, took me less than 30 minutes alone to put it all together. Very comfortable due to adjustable seat, adjustable arm rest, and adjustable/sliding back rest. The recliner is perfect for taking naps in between work 😀

The chair is very comfortable and pretty easy to assemble. It took me like 30 minutes. It holds very well and I'm betting it will last a long time. I also really like the look of it, it has a cool, simple design.

So there are just a TON of gaming chairs out on the market and most if not all of them suffer from the same issue. The quality of the materials are lacking and they are grossly over priced. This one from Focuseat fairs a bit better than most. First is the build quality. The cushions are of course covered in "pleather". It is rare to find actual leather gaming chairs. The padding is a bit above average for this type of chair. The base is all metal which should be a huge selling point for this chair as most gaming chairs have cheap plastic bases that are sure to break on you in no time. I don't see that happening with this chair. The arm rests are a bit of a let down. There are 3 different types of adjustments which is nice. However that never stay quite in place and tend to move around as you move your arms with even minor movement. The wheels of the chair are awful. However I'm not taking that as a negative for this chair as almost any gaming chair under $500 has garbage wheels. Take my advice as spend about $20 in the roller blade style wheels (no more than that as you can get perfectly good ones at that price point). It makes all the difference in the world. I am 6'2" and when sitting down the top of the back of the chair is just about perfect for my height so that my head actually lays against the included pillow. You also get a lumbar pillow which is moderately effective. The cushion of the chair fairs a bit better than most gaming chairs. This isn't say much though. Base cushions on gaming chairs are mostly awful. They start off pretty well but after a few months the cushion compresses permanently and you are left sitting on what feels like a wood board. Another highly advisable investment is one of those $25 office chair cushions. Assembly was surprisingly easy. I finished up in about 5 minutes. The arms come preinstalled which helped to make things go quite a bit faster. Attach the wheels to the base, insert the rod into the base, attach the main mechanism to the bottom of the base, attach the back to the base, stick all that on the rod and finally screw on the side plastic panels. Quick and easy so points there. So all in all the quality of this chair fairs a bit better than most gaming chairs. Does that slightly above average quality justify a price of (at the time of this review) $359.09? No, not in my opinion. However, again at the time of this review, they provide a $50 discount bringing the price to $309. This price is a bit more reasonable. Look, if you are dead set on getting a gaming chair, and the $50 or greater discount is still active, then I think this chair is a much better choice than most gaming chairs on the market. Just keep in mind what you are getting here. NO gaming chair is going to win any awards for build quality and long term comfort but this one fairs a bit better than most. ... show more
