Complete package. Everything but the honey to get started making your mead. Very happy with it over all. Until I noticed the little defect in the carboy. There is a small chamber in the grip ring. That cannot be properly cleaned. I fear my carboy is a one time use because of this. The 1 gallon jug isn't the same one as in the picture. The one I received doesn't have the leaf design on it, it's just blank which is fine, I was just slightly disappointed. I had the thought I could just put a sticker on the jug and realized a sticker wasn't included of the logo which I think could've been a nice touch and another simple way to market the product. I received my kit promptly after ordering and I immediately began making my first batch! I was so excited, and had purchased all local ingredients. I was inserting my airlock when it snapped, I was beyond disappointed. I immediately reached out to the company, and I was so happy when they not only sent me a new airlock as well as more sanitizer and they even provided me with a temporary solution until the new lock arrived. I was able to save this batch of mead and I honestly could not be happier, the kit is amazing, but the company is even more amazing! Their quick response is the reason I will definitely be ordering more supplies, I could not recommend them enough!! ... show more

I've been using this product to make mead and it's very useful! The only problem I encountered was adding things like fruit to the jar. If you're purchasing this to make mead and plan to put fruits or other items in I would suggest finding a jar with a wider mouth and then using this jug to age the mead in before bottling. ... show more

So I've been dying to try to make mead for years and honestly even though it doesn't look like there is much to it, when you are new to it it seems like a lot. This kit does have everything you need, And the instructions are great and easy to follow. They even have a video on YouTube for those who need to see to do. My downside is the airlock came cracked. But I'll find a way to make it work for a few batches. Either way. Im still planning on buying more equipment, mainly the extra fermentation kit and the yeast nutrients. My only gripe is that the airlock came cracked and water occasionally leaked, but overall it’s an awesome product The manual and online videos were a big help and helped me do the fermentation properly
