I just used it for the 1st time to start a car I have not used in a couple of weeks. Is a small engine 1.6L and it worked as advertised, I simply connected the jumper cables, and started the engine and disconnected the jump starter. I also lend it to my neighbour to start his motorbike and no problem. It still shows the 4 leds worth of charge.

I have an older Suzuki Samurai that I am using occasionally as an overland vehicle for multi-day trips. I have a secondary battery for all of my lights and accessories but still worry about the possibility of a dead starting battery. I love the compact size of this jump starter. The vehicle is already pretty small so anything I keep in it needs to be compact. I only used it once so far in my garage just to test it out and it worked fine. It seemed to have a little bit of trouble at first but once I got the clamps on the battery a little more secure, it worked fine. It charges with a standard USB cable. Not sure if this is totally a good thing or not, but I have a solar power station that I can plug this into for charging on the go if necessary. As of now I charge it to 100% and leave it in the car and will recharge once I use it. I will probably take it out and make sure it's charged up every month or so just to be safe. The light is a nice added bonus and makes it easier to connect everything in the dark if needed.

So this may be a good high capacity battery pack for charging your phone or something but it is not starting an average newer car battery. I fully charged the device and followed instructions, correctly connected everything and this thing would not start either of the two cars I have tried this on. After initial failure to start I left it connected for about 5 minutes to see if it would give enough charge to start and it does not. One of the batteries was an AGM style with 850 CCA and this thing did nothing to help start it, using tried and true jumper cables with another car fired it right up. Maybe it would work with something that has an older style small size CCA battery but I was not able to test on something like that. There is a USB plug for charging other devices so that is about the only use I have found for this.

I have many of these jump starts and lots of experience using them. I've found the biggest issue to be aware of is the dumb, smart cables. They can be finicky and not like to work right. This is my 2nd one with that issue. Once attached, the relay inside the cables clicks on n off every few seconds. The light flashes red n green instead of just green showing connection status. It worked a few times, and didn't others. I even swapped cables and boxes testing and it's in the cables. This is a smaller and less expensive box than my others, they are in the $100 price range. I plan to carry this on my 4 wheeler so I don't need big power, nor do I want the ones that cost 3xs as much bouncing around in the compartment while riding the trails. It's inexpensive, but so are the cables..... Update- company reached out and sent new unit. New unit is working great! I have bad batteries I use to test these jump starters. I jump, let set for 30 mins, repeat. New unit is operating as is should. Good company that stands behind their products!

a nice compact battery pack that helps me when I have to jump start the dead battery in my lawn mower. I just plug in the cables connect it the dead battery and it quickly turns over to start. I like the simplicity of this unit. The only thing I wish it had was a better description on the unit itself as to what port does what. The input/output ports are not obvious on the unit. One other thing is missing is a 110ac out let adapter to charge in wall outlet. It just came with a short micro cable with a USB plug on the other end.
