I got this and at first it was just fine . I mean it did what it should when it should’ve. The second time I tried to use it on a friends truck to get her up and running after dying in my driveway and unfortunately I had to use another jump boxI had here. For some reason it didn’t want to jump her truck. The air compressor on board does work fairly well. No trouble with that at all. The jump box did work again the third time I used it as well it just didn’t work that one time. That’s the only reason I took star off. ... show more

    • Where have you been all my life? JUST what I needed!
I got this for one reason. The Jump Starter. We have a great '97 Tacoma that I purchased when it was just past new. That truck has been fantastic & although we don't drive it regularly anymore, it's really handy to have a truck around when you need it. So often, Tacoma will sit for literally months without being started, that means the battery is usually dead, dead, dead. Normally, I'd have to pull another car around & jump start the truck w/cables. Abt a year a go I purchased another stand alone battery/charger w/cables that was supposed to be able to jump start a dead auto battery, it couldn't. I thought I'd give this one a try. It came almost fully charged. I plugged it in for maybe 10 minutes & it reached 100% on the display. Just so happened I had to go out of town, so didn't get to test this right away. Upon my return I hooked it up the the very dead truck battery. The % on FlyAuto Starter read 85%. It was super easy. No buttons to push or anything, it's ready once you connect reach cable. Black on the truck metal frame, red on positive post & immediately I could hear the (key in ignition) chime coming from the inside of the truck. I tried to start it & it turned over immediately. Zero hesitation! I Was Shocked!! And pleasantly surprised. Now that's what I've been looking for!! This jump starter isn't overly heavy. A car battery weighs much more. The compressor is a handly feature, but you can get those everywhere & the flashlight is nice. What I wanted it for was an easy & reliable jump starter & it definitely fits the bit for that!! After jumping the truck, it had plenty of power left. The display ready 75%. This is me & my trucks new best friend!! Note: There's a compartment in one end that stores the hose for the air compressor, if you wind the a/c adapter just right, it will fit in there to along side it. I drive about 45 minutes for work every morning, and having this thing in my trunk has given me so much peace of mind!     • Very Good Combo Battery Powered Tire Air Compressor/Jump Starter Good Size/Power/Weight Combo
This is a Very Good combination battery powered tire air pump/compressor and jump starters. It also has a built-in light and ability to charge phones & power DC devices, but to me those are secondary. This is large for a tire compressor and a bit smaller than average for a battery powered jump starter. It's not like, but then again it has the equivalent of a motorcycle battery built-in, so no complaints. It is easy to carry and the jumper cables are built-in, easy to use and not obtrusive when stored. I like that this can be charged from wither your car DC port/lighter outlet or am AC outlet. Of course there are compromises here - the tire pump/air compressor is slower than purpose-built battery compressors (a bit slower than I would like). The jump starter battery is on the small side (again think size & weight). I wish it were larger than 900 amps. I've heard widely differing estimates of the number of amps to start our sedan. 900 should do it, but we may only get one shot (I worried how many times it will turn the motor over to get it started). I haven't tried using this to start a dead battery but most sources say it is large enough to do the job. I'm willing to settle for this compromise to get these two key functions in one unit and plan to use in the vehicle we will the most, so it gets my recommendation. ... show more
