I now have over 100 hours of print time on my super racer and have thoroughly enjoyed it. I purchased it to make accessories for utvs primarily but wanted a printer that would be able to print faster than most but also user friendly and budget friendly as this was my first printer. The printer is very easy to assemble and initial setup is simple just following the instructions. I downloaded Cura 5.1 and the default profile works great for pla, the only other filament type I’ve tried is pla silk which I have had mostly terrible results using so far(but it could just be the brand of filament or poor settings on my part). I had a nozzle failure at about 40 hours and changed the stock heat block out to a knockoff e3d volcano block which caused more problems than it was worth with thermal inconsistency causing many problems in my prints. I went back to the stock heat block and upgraded to a Capricorn Bowden tube, a bimetal heat break, and some 5015 fans so cooling won’t be a limiting factor later on. I like to tinker with things and see where I can make improvements and will continue to do so with this printer but for the average person that just wants a printer to play around with this in stock form is a great choice and for the most part very reliable. Printing speeds always held me back from buying an ender or something similar because I didn’t want to wait 5 hours to print a 3 inch tall model but the super racer is so fast and still has good enough quality at those high speeds it makes it much more enjoyable in my opinion.

Bought this during Prime Day at a great price, but even at regular price it is well worth it! I have owned delta-type 3D printers before, and as a class I love them. They are usually faster than their Cartesian-style peers, but this thing just flat FLIES. I’ve only run one full roll of PLA filament through it so far, so I’ll update this after a longer trial, but it’s been out over a year and reviews have remained consistently positive, which is why I went for it. FLsun has a new model which claims to be even FASTER, but it’s too new to have a solid amount of real-world use data, yet. Honestly, anything above 150 to 200 mm/sec is probably pushing past the limits of what is going to be consistently reliable in a filament-based 3D printer. Understand, this is no miracle machine and you need to expect a learning curve on any unit, especially as a beginner. Start with Cura as a slicer and the recommended settings, and do your research. You can learn a lot from people who’ve already been working with this unit for over a year.

Ever since I received this printer and assembled, it has been a complete nightmare. When I first started to print preloaded GCODE my extruder failed, and it kept eating up the filament. I tried contacting FLSUN for support, but they didn't help. I bought a replacement extrude and it had the same problem. Trying to fix and calibrate this printer has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had.

After hours on the phone, hours on YouTube, troubleshooting. We gave up. It gets 70%+/- done and misprints, every time. We have done EVERYTHING, nothing works. It won't complete a project. Hundreds of dollars of filament, not to mention this garbage printer and nothing. Worst gift I've ever given. Now it just sits there, useless as the day we got it. Don't waste your money. None of their troubleshooting or videos help.

This printer was very easy to set up, calibrate, and get running. It is quick and quiet. I had no issues with bed adhesion or poor quality prints using their stock Cura Settings at 150mm/s I own a number of 3D Printers that I use for production work and this was among the easiest to get up and running. I highly recommend it. THERE IS ONE CRITICAL SAFETY FLAW... The stock firmware has a critical safety feature disabled called Thermal Runaway Protection that helps keeps this printer from catching fire and burning down your house. It basically stops the printer from continuing to heat up if the temperature sensor craps out as there is no way to control how hot the printer gets without that thermosister / sensor working. There is a new firmware they have put out that re-enables this feature, but its not shipped by default on the printer. I strongly urge you to upgrade to the 1.3.1 version found on the FLSUN website. Amazon won't allow direct links. Type FLSUN Speed Racer Firmware in your favorite search engine and click their official website. To update simply download the NANO version of 1.3.1 from their website, format the SD card that came with your printer as FAT32, copy the downloaded firmware, stick it in your printer, and power cycle the printer. The printer will auto-detect the .bin file and start updating itself automatically. The LCD screen will tell you when the update is done. After that, shut the power off again, pull the card, re-home the printer, and you are off to the races.

The only bad thing was when i received the printer the sd card didn't work had to jump through some hoops the get the stuff downloaded and running. Also i wish it was wifi capable
