This 12 inch cordless chainsaw is a fantastic value, especially if you already have DeWalt batteries. I successfully used this with both a normal DeWalt 20v max branded battery and an off brand DeWalt style battery made for DeWalt tools. I did not notice any difference between the batteries, but I was happy that the off brand did in fact work with this. I was immediately surprised with how lightweight the chainsaw is. I am female and not the strongest, but I am much more comfortable with using this than I expected. I was able to use it until the battery died without taking a break. The battery life seems to last a good while but of course will vary depending on what you are doing. I used this to trim back everything along the fence in our backyard. I have been able to easily cut through everything I have tried... It is a lot of twigs and smaller branches, but I got on a bit of a roll and even cut down some of the smaller trees growing between our fence line that had been bothering me. It is surprisingly satisfying to use and was not nearly as loud as I expected. I have not notice any oil leakage. This is a good little chainsaw that will undoubtedly be very handy to have around. It has held up well and seems to be very durable Definitely recommend giving it a shot, especially if you already have the DeWalt type batteries!! Would also be a really neat and probably surprising gift for any DeWalt fan.

Didn't expect much for the price, but... This little saw is great, it is super affordable, has enough power to saw thru small logs, and doesnt use batteries real fast. I plan on getting a second one for my car, t o keep it on hand for road rage incidents, and in case ICE ever tries to assault me. It's light enough to use one handed, and I think it would be a game changer in a fight.

I was surprised by how lightweight and easy to handle this little chainsaw is. Even though it’s compact, it still has plenty of power for trimming branches on the tree in our front yard. Just keep in mind it doesn’t come with a battery, so you’ll need a compatible one to get started which wasn't a problem for us because we just used one from another tool we had. Overall, it’s a super handy tool to have around if you already use Dewalt style batteries.
