I wanted chair with arms for seniors with, knee issues, as it will provide stand assist, which is difficult to achieve from modem couches. It came in 3 parts, in one box, avg person can carry, fairly easy to assemble, fit 8 screws, to fix back and seat to the chair frame using Ellen provided. Chair is is exactly as pictured and sturdy, slight off balance. My main issue is with quality of filling in the seat. It is not very coushiony, which I wanted that way. But whatever is filled inside, makes noise when you sit, as if packing material getting squeezed under the weight, after a person gets up, popping sound continues for a minute. I will have to see 4 how long the seat lasts ... show more

Needed a dozen chairs for occasional use and didn't want to spend a fortune. Purchased these on sale - and am satisfied with purchase. They look great and are built exactly like the original ones we had - for half the price. The weave on the fabric is a little loose - not sure how they will look 10 years from now but spending $125 per chair wasn't an option. I had no issues whatsoever with weld joints or lining up the pre-drilled holes for the screws. Took between 15-20 minutes to assemble each chair. These may get used on average 10 hours a month - which I believe this chair will be more than adequate for. ... show more

Chairs are comfortable for the price, but the padding is not as thick as the more expensive chairs--nor would I expect it to be. I had to adjust the legs some to get them to stack, but once I did that they were fine. November 2014 edit: I've been using these chairs daily for nearly a year. I do group therapy with mostly middle-aged adults and I sit in one of these chairs as much as 5-6 hours a day. Group members sit in them for over two hours at a time. The chairs have shown minimal wear and are as tight as the day I bought them. I've never had complaints from group members about them being uncomfortable, and I prefer to sit in one of these over some of the more expensive chairs we have in the group rooms. They're easy to stack and store when they're not needed. I'll buy these again. November 2015 edit: chairs still holding up, still look like new. We have to sanitize these (per state health department codes) after each use, which is twice a day some days. Vinyl fabric isn't showing any wear after all that abuse. ... show more

Really hesitated on this purchase after all the negative reviews, but I needed this type of chair for an exrtcise program I'm on,, so I went ahead. Very glad I did so. The chair was very well packed with no scratches much less bent legs. None of the holes were misaligned; eventually I just pushed the bolts thru and they hit the nut every time. There is even a standard Allen wrench instead of the el chepo tools one usually gets. Assembly took me about 20-25 minutes, ten of which was spent unwrapping the extensive bubble wrap around each piece. Watch the orientation of the seat; the front is clearly marked on the bottom. The chair feels sturdy to a 160 pound guy and I can do my exercises of getting up and sitting down (at 91, that can be a problem).. A good purchase and a very reasonable price.. ... show more

Item is a good purchase for the low price. Seat is cushiony and seems pretty stable for any size person to sit in without trouble. The fabric is easy to clean and the construction was easy to put the whole thing together. My only complaint is that one of the feet came chipped (the plastic bottom piece was broken off) and the holes where the seat was supposed to screw into the legs weren't drilled properly so one of the screws didn't actually line up with one of the holes, so one corner of the seat isn't locked down. ... show more

This is a really good chair for the money. Assembly was quick and easy (I am in my late 60's). Once assembled the chair is very stable. I was looking for a chair to use next to my bed to dress in the morning. This works very well for that purpose. My only complaint is when I get up from the chair the covering apparently sticks to the filling for a few seconds, giving off a crackling sound. Not a big deal, maybe that will go away over time. The chair did have some odor but is going away fast. Again for the money, this is a good chair. ... show more
