My 15-year-old teenage son uses it for PC gaming and went with the no-arms style. Beneficial when he's bellying up to the desk for shear video game dominance over your spouse or child in likely obscure and seemingly pointless gaming sessions. It is what it is. I tried the chair.. meh, leans back more than it should for a typical task chair, which is what this appears to be. I'm a big ole boy-- (How big'a boy are ya?) About 6'-4", 270-lbs with "adequate cushion in the back seat". Matter of fact, it's so adequate it's achieve hypersensitivity, so it knows a good chair when it feels one. Cushion in the base is meh. It's barely enough foam to shrug off any discomfort. Not impressive but not totally uncomfortable. I guess if I could ask my teenage butt to respond to my middle-aged butt's immediate remarks, there might be varying opinions-- especially in the heat of digital battle. The back is surprisingly cushioned, but it's kind of at an angle. It feels weird to me, but I'm not in it longer than 45 seconds. The height adjustments are good to ensure some sort of blood flow and non-crippling effects as a result of extended gaming sessions. For the price, it's tough to find anything with real comfort. I DEFINITELY would NOT use this chair for all-day WFH applications, unless you're up and down multiple times throughout the day.. this chair will murder your cheeks (starting with your tailbone) in 6- to 8-hour-sized work-a-thons. The chair is lightweight. Not sure if that matters-- well, maybe to your delivery person-- but was a pleasant feature when we realized we used the too-long screws to anchor the pneumatic pump & plate to the seat bottom.. yeah, explains why we could feel the screw threading in the leg and cheeks... <forehead slap> Oh, and the piston shaft under the seat has ample grease on it.. just ask my jeans. <double-forehead slap> Bottomline: Tell your kid it's this chair or nothing at all. Then tell them that you used to bring each member of the Bowzer family to their knees and speed running the ruin of Mother Brain was like baking cookies.. with Martha Stewart. Tell'em you went hours looking up at a 13" (sometimes) color tube TV with glazed eyeballs and elbow burn-- thanks to the merciless sea of carpet of '70s and '80s home fashions. And you were thankful. It can always be worse. Then tell'em that streamers with big chairs look like douchebags. This is the way. ... show more

Chair was as advertised. But they sent 2 Right armrests. I called Support and got a promise of a Left armrest this week. So, I hope it arrives. The assembly is easy. Allen tool comes with the screws. Instructions are fine, not too many ways to mess this up. Comfy to sit on. The height adjustment is the usual piston and lever. The backrest has some flexibility but does not adjust, but not a detriment. Overall, good for the price. ... show more

This chair was easy to assemble and you can't bet the price (less than $50). I am no mechanical genius and I managed to put the chair together in 20 minutes, including the time it took to open the box and unwrap the pieces from the bubble wrap. I have only had the chair put together for an hour now but wanted to share my thoughts on the assembly while it is still fresh in my mind. For the assembly, a few things to note: - the assembly diagram is attached to the seat bottom - the Allen wrenches are included and you don't need any tools - although you will need to use some pressure and exert some strength, the wheels snap pretty easily into the bottom spokes. If one doesn't, then move it to the next spoke. I had one wheel that was incompatible with the first spoke I tried but snapped in easily on the second spoke I attempted it with. - there are 10 screws: 4 long black screws, 4 short black screws, 2 long silver screws. The 4 short black screws attach the pump/plate to the bottom of the seat. The 2 long silver screws attach the seat poles to the back of the seat. The 4 long black screws attach the seat pole to the bottom of the seat. This is important to note because if you use the long screws for the plate then you won't be able to attach the seat poles to the bottom of the seat, and you will need to undo the plate screws and replace them with the short ones to get the whole thing to work. - Make sure the plate with the words "front" are facing the front of the seat This chair has a very firm seat and the back is very far back, which is fine for me. Others may find it too firm for a long day. I only use my chair for an hour here or there. I am very happy with my purchase so far! I will post again if there is an update. ... show more
