  • Didnt last a month
My so was happy when he recieved this chair, he put it together himself. My son is a mere 100 pounds, so the chair is not enduring a tremendous abuse. The chair is just over 30 days old and it has a BIG dip/indention in the cushion of the seat. Its like the stuffing in the cushion just parted and there is nothing under the cloth upholstery other than the plastic chair bottom. It makes no sense for it to be this way after only a month. Its Garbage. Wish i had purchase a better chair than this. The stars rating are misleading. ... show more

  • Good Deal for Us
I agree with almost all that is said in Claran's review. I've had a few other chairs, of this type, and this chair is at least as good or better quality. I particularly want non-padded arms because they just don't last for me. My current chair is some type of naugahide which is just is flaking off. I think that I bought it on sale at Office Depot for $135. Both my wife and got our new chairs on Amazon's deal of the day for $59 each. So, for the price, we are both satisfied overall. I have back problems and this chair does give me back support. YMMV Here's are a few assembly tips: 1. It's a lot easier to have 2 people to assemble the back, seat, and arms. 2. We found it easier to put the arms on the seat first and do the back next. 3. It's easier to get the bolts started by putting them on the allen wrench first. 4. We liked having the arm holes on top (parallel with the floor) so that we could see the holes in the back and seat easier. 5. Do the assembly in a well lighted area if you can. 6. There are no written instructions, but the pictures a very clear (I prefer graphical instructions). Look at them as you do the assembly and it will go smoothly. Follow the steps in order of the pictures. ... show more

  • One year later, chair is not holding up
I sit in this chair 10 hours a day, maybe more, every day. (I'm about 200 lbs, not overly heavy.) It's fairly comfortable. However, I bought it just under a year ago, and it's not holding up. Two problems. First, the tilt lock does not stay locked. Sometimes if I lean back when it's locked, the lock bar unlocks and I go flying backwards. That's pretty disconcerting when it happens. Second, the chair, when it's locked and should be relatively upright, leans back to the right side so that I have to compensate by not leaning against the back of the chair at all to keep straight. It was nice for the first six months, but since then it's been downhill. Would not recommend. ... show more

  • Unstable and feels cheap
I had high hopes for this chair. It is comfortable, and was as easy to assemble as any other. However, it feels extremely flimsy and cheap, and very unstable. I weigh around 250 lbs, within the weight rating, but after 2 months of using it I kept feeling like it was going to collapse when I sat in it, so I bought a different chair. My father weighs about 180 lbs and also found it unstable feeling when he sat in it. I gave this chair to a friend who only weighs 110 lbs and I think it will suit them much better. I would not recommend this chair for anyone over maybe 150 lbs. ... show more

  • for me...very UNcomfortable
good value: price/quality...HOWEVER, updated after using it every day for several weeks. Like a jap car, there is NO support for the lower back, rather there is a 'hollow' where the small of your back NEEDS padding. Very disappointed and am using cushions to make it work.

  • No money + don't care about body = this chair
Decent rolling chair for the price. I weigh 170lbs. I sat on the chair probably everyday for 3 months. The chair cushions were pretty much compressed to the point of nonexistence. At about the 3 month point I decided to switch to an ergonomic chair not b/c of the lack of support but rather my legs and butt began hurting after sitting down for extended periods of time. I do not have those same problems with an ergo chair. Disclaimer: I am a habitual sitter and this chair may be appropriate for people who sit on it 8 hours a day. But my work/school requires that I be glued to a chair approx. 14hrs a day and this was just not cutting it. ... show more

  • Good Value but Not the Best
It's a cheap light-weight office chair. I normally like a chair with a higher back and neck support. This one has a 22" back (shoulder length for someone who's 5'9"). So, it's a little lower than expected. It functions well as a basic chair with some considerations. First, the assembly was a little difficult because the pre-drilled holes didn't line-up perfectly. I spent nearly a hour bending and squeezing the parts until they fit. I have no idea if the screws connecting the armrests and the cushions are sitting properly flush. So far, it's holding together. Secondly, the upholstery fabric is rough like coarse burlap. If you're wearing pants, you probably won't notice it. But it's rough and unpleasant on bare skin. Something to consider if you wear shorts or a thin fabric skirt. ... show more

  • Not a bad chair
For the price it's not too bad if you are looking for a new bare bones office chair.
