So, I love this mixer. I have used all the attachments to make a variety of recipes and it's done great with every one. It can handle thick cookie dough. I usually don't use it above power level 2 for all my mixing needs. I only go higher for the cookie dough. For everyone complaining about splattering ingredients, USE THE PULSE FEATURE!! The pulse is awesome. It's level 1 speed, but you pulse it like a blender to incorporate ingredients. I usually hit the pulse 5-10 times to incorporate flour into wet ingredients and then go to level 1...guess what? No splatters! The case is awesome too. The thing I liked least about the last hand mixer I used was the storage. The beaters were over here in the drawer and the machine was over here and its cord got tangled in the spoons again... Now everything is in one place and it can stand up. There is a front and a back to it, and sometimes it's harder to get on than others but as long as the front tab clicks over the chrome, it's not falling off. The back door is a cute idea, but not useful in practice. If you're keeping everything in there (like I am) it's difficult to get just one thing in or out and you're better off just putting it in from the top and locking it onto the mixer. In terms of flaws, after the first washing there was rust-colored staining around the joints where the wire beater wires meet the shaft. I'm not worried because the shaft is not going to be in my food, but just making any would-be buyers aware that the quality is not super-duper awesome. Also, the second time I made cookie dough I noticed a smoky smell, but the motor didn't sound off and it kept on mixing. I made sure to give it a break while mixing and back off the power just in case. All in all, this is a good buy for your money. ... show more

It is powerful, very easy to assemble, use, disassemble, clean and store. It is compact, very convenient, and very well-designed. The beaters are sturdy and insert easily, and they detach easily via a latch under the beater's handle. It is powerful, with six positions and "burst" button. It comes with a storage bin for the beaters, hooks and whisk and milkshake device that clips to the body of the beater. I have used the dough hooks with great results for bread dough, and the wire beaters did a fast job making whipped cream. At just $24.00 USD, it is an essential tool for your kitchen. It's a great gift for any home cook. It easily works in place of an expensive KitchenAid or Cuisinart heavy-duty mixer. You will find it much easier and much more simple and much more convenient. I like this hand mixer a lot. The clip on container on the bottom is a good way to store all the mixing beaters so you always know where they are. The motor seems to run fine for the first couple things I've made. It's got a pulse button that you can just hold down instead of flicking it on and off if you need to get something small incorporated into your dough. The one draw back is the clip-on container takes a little bit of patience to get on every time. You have to line it up just right, and jam it on there. I am so happy I ordered this. I have a small galley kitchen and counter space/storage is an issue for me. This is perfect and I love the narrow rectangular plastic storage container for the attachments. Nice array of attachments. Multiple power settings are great and positioned so it is easy to move thru the settings with your thumb, while you are mixing. The attachments snap-in quite easily and pop-off with the quick pull on the 'trigger', located under the handle. The cord is a nice length, giving me the ability position my mixing bowl in a comfortable location of my counter. It is nicely designed so you can sit it securely upright/flat on the counter, without the messy attachments touching anything. (the back side, where the cord attaches is nice and flat). I have small hands and have no problems holding or maneuvering this. It seems quite sturdy and I am hoping it will last a long time. If space is an issue, I would highly recommend this hand mixer. ... show more

I had read reviews that low speed is too fast. I didn't find this to be true. Perhaps it applies individually to whichever one you happen to get. I don't like the storage plastic box for attachments. It is not easy to get it to snap on with everything contained. I just keep the box with attachments in a drawer, along with the mixer. The mixer works great!! ... show more
