I am a smaller person and this chair is super comfy! I sit in this chair about an hour a day to write and find to to be sturdy and functional for writing. It seems like it is good for average height people but maybe not for really tall people. For reference I am 5'2" and this chair is comfy (a little big for me) but comfy. Really nice chair, if you like that look, easy to assemble. Had a couple nicks in the wooden base but nothing that really bothers me. It's not as comfortable as a real office chair though, its ok really, just being honest, but the look was more important to us, as we didn't want a typical office chair on our small apartment living room. The chair looks as advertised. Very comfortable & is a fairly high/tall chair which is what I needed. Instructions were minimal, but intuitive with hardware included. Pros: Tall chair. Looks great. Comfortable. Sturdy. Easy to assemble. Cons: The tapped hole for the right side armrest is either clogged with debris or not fully tapped or binding on something. It is a cheap Chinese quality chair. Definitely not worth $300, MAYBE $100 on a good day. The wood and wheels are flimsy, but the material looks decent quality . However, it looks AMAZING, and I couldn’t find one that looked this good for any cheaper elsewhere .. so I just had to bite the bullet. It is what it is.. welcome to Joe Biden’s America. I have a feeling the cheap plastic wheels will break at some point .. if so, I’ll upgrade to metal casters. In conclusion: overall a good looking chair, but needs some reinforcements/additional screws here and there/ and upgraded wheels in order to feel as good as it looks.. if you’re a handyman that can DIY, then I’d say definitely buy it.     • Bad for Neck and Upper Back Problems.

The chair looks good and is fairly comfortable. However, if you suffer from any upper back or neck issues I wouldn't buy this chair. I haven't had any problems with my neck in almost 2 years. Lately they have started to resurface. I noticed it would happen when sitting at my desk for long periods of time. Coincidently I stopped by my friends office yesterday and he had the same chair in the corner. I told him I had the same chair. He said he doesn't use it much because it was uncomfortable for his upper back. I looked at the chair design and came to the conclusion that it puts your body in a bad position. I strapped a small back pillow to the indented area my shoulder touched. Then I sat in the chair for a while and wouldn't you know, no neck pain. It's a flawed design. ... show more

I was so excited when this arrived yesterday. It's lovely and appeared to be well constructed. Very heavy. Nice fabric and real wood. EXCEPT the wheels, which are a cheap plastic. One of the wheels was damaged on arrival and cracked completely in half the first time I tried sitting in the chair. In addition, where the arms attach to the chair back, there should be predrilled holes with anchors to bolt into. Fine on one side, completely missing on the other, so there's nothing to bolt one of the arms into. I tried calling the manufacturer per amazon's instructions, sat on hold for 15 minutes, and when I finally reached an associate, she informed me that she could do nothing for me and I had to go to their website. What's the point of a call center then, I ask. "to tell you where to go" she replied. What a waste of my time. I did go to the website and submitted my contact request. We'll see if I get any kind of response. So far I'm very disappointed, but will update this review pending resolution. ... show more
