Never had a cordless Dyson before, but wife really wanted one. It works great, but it is different (more than just cordless) than a regular vacuum. Head is more narrow, have to keep pressing the power, maybe it was not a full charge, but died before finishing the house.

    • On/off switch needs to be implemented.
I love my new Dyson except for one thing: I wish it had an on/off switch instead of having to hold the trigger. I am an older woman with arthritis and it is difficult for me to continually hold the trigger while vacuuming.

    • Surprisingly better than the V6
We killed our V6 after abusing it for about 3 years without ever washing any of the filters. Replaced it with the V7 and really happily surprised by how much better it is! I'm not sure whether it's the difference between V-6 and V-7 or if it's just a couple of years of improved technology, but this vacuum runs much longer, with much more cleaning power, and amazingly better roller performance (it somehow picks up long threads and hairs without getting them all tangled the way the old one did). Anyway, we dig it. I might even wash the filters once in a while ... show more

I had a previous Dyson: it was smaller and it was refurbished. I found that I used it far more than the more expensive Miele I've owned for years. Now that I have more power in this cordless vacuum, I may never use the plug in vac ever again. It's easy to use, easy to empty, easy to swap parts. You will need an out of the way place to keep it hanging while charging, but this appliance will become one of your favorite household helpers. ... show more

Arrived with a dead battery and /or dead charger. Battery will not light. Even after leaving on charger. Trigger switch is weird (does not click) Getting tired of receiving dead or repackaged materials from Amazon sellers. Spending to much time trying to get this thing to operate.

Great for tile floors in my kitchen and also carpet in living room. Great suction for cleaning outdoor and indoor mats. Pricey but well worth the money. Comes with numerous attachments which are great for mini blinds and my car!
