I was looking for a simple, basic little black bath mat that wouldn’t be seen other than when showering so it didn’t need to be a fancy design. This may fit the bill and it works well. Decent absorbency (I fold it in half to use), deep black color and it washes well with no fraying or fading. I might have to order a few more to use to dry off my puppy’s muddy paws when he enters the house.

Like most AmazonBasics products, this towel-like banded bath mat is a basic quality product that... basically does the job it should. And that's what I like about the AmazonBasics line: I can get decent quality products at a good price, when it's not an item I would want to invest more in and don't require too much of. This bath mat is exactly what I look in for my bathroom (100% cotton, towel-like); the quality is somewhat similar to `hotel` lines of 100% cotton mats, but the price is really good. This mat is not for people to prefer microfiber bath mats with non-slip rubber lining on the back. The terrycloth is not as soft and plush as towels, it's not very thick (but it has a nice weight) and has some roughness (which for bath mats is good in my opinion). It provides cushion and warmth to bare feet. The material lost shape and shrunk around the banded part from the first wash, but it doesn't look that bad. I think that this is mostly my fault as I used the hot cycle (as I always do with my towels), but I prefer to wash it thoroughly even if it shrunks a little. It's a little trickier to dry out (especially when multiple people shower consecutively), but I just let it air dry between showers and I usually don't make too much of a splash. It has some absorbency, but I wouldn't recommend this mat for people with very wet bathroom conditions. I just love the convenience of being able to just throw this in the washer with my towels and wash it quite often; I sometimes end up washing it 1-2 times per week, depending on other laundry loads. I haven't noticed any major lint from it, but it start pilling a little after many washes. It looks... classic; not a stylish item, but something that looks nice in the bathroom, near the tub or the vanity. I choose the grey, as it matched the `concrete` aesthetics I am going with my bathroom. The floors in my bathroom are not that slippery, I never have issues/accidents with this towel bath mat, but it moves around quite easily on the floor.

Basic bath rug. Does dry a little odd and the ends can end upwards but poke em down and they'll stay. The utopia brand I bought (Amazon didn't offer the color I wanted for the other bath) started pilling and such but these have worked well so far.

I was really surprised at the quality of this rug! It’s a nice thickness and doesn’t seem cheap at all! I wish there were more colors to choose from - I was looking for a sage green. Would definitely buy again and when it’s time to replace my bath towels I will check out other options from this as well.
