  • Time flies when looking through this book!
The book is great, with lots of delicious yet simple recipes. No strange ingredients, which is a big plus! However, while flipping through the pages, I had to take a second look to see if my eyes were deceiving me or if a fly had landed on my book.🪰👀 To my surprise, the fly was actually in the photograph on page 286. As many people are involved in publishing a book, I wonder how on earth that got missed!? 😂 ... show more

  • Great book of ideas.
I use this cookbook all the time. As the cook in the house sometimes crock pot meals are essential with busy lives.

  • QR Codes Still Not Working
Recipes are good but a bit redundant - pretty much everything is a protein (eggs and/or meat/fish) with a sauce that you assemble, freeze, then thaw in refrigerator prior to cooking in a slow cooker. I wish more info was given with the recipes such as “serve over rice (or noodles)” or suggestions on sides/pairings. There is a little of this, but not enough for my liking. I was able to look at the (black and white) photos of the dishes and take cues from them on options for serving the meat+sauce concoctions. The continued non-working QR codes are really annoying. I agree with another reviewer who states that this lack of support for the published content made them feel a bit cheated. Probably the biggest value the cookbook had for me was to inspire me to re-evaluate many of my own kitchen staple recipes for freezing as assembled ingredients. Overall, the cookbook has a number of recipes that I am able to add to my repertoire as freezer/slow cooker combos, but time savings depends on how you pair these recipes with other sides, etc to round out the meals. I could forgive a little of this is the book was at least fully functional as published, with working QR codes, because then I would at least feel that I got what I paid for. ... show more

  • Question for the author or anybody
I just received my cookbook cant wait to try the recipes..but does any know what the qr code are(in the corners of each reciepe) I was hoping it would give the nutrition facts since it doesn't state it in the book itself( need to know sodium and fat)..but I've tried 3 recipes using the qr code and I get a error every time.. I was hoping to get a hold of the author or maybe someone on here may know what's it for.. Update: 11.6.24 I gave this a rating of 2 or 3 stars because I couldn't figure out the qr code that is on every page in the book...well I looked beyond that and made a few of these recipes and I have to say delicious!! ... show more
