It was time for my old metal vent to go. It was literally falling apart. I wanted something smooth and sleek and came across these. I did some research into the airflow and I really liked the updated design. I decided to paint it to just truly make it blend into the wall. I was hesitant to buy the one that you mud over because I wasn’t sure about the commitment. I think this is a great option on its own, or even to test whether or not it’s going to work for you before buying the other. It just looks so sleek and is such an upgrade from what we had before. FYI: if you’re using old thicker framed vent covers, you may have some weird old lines on your wall from where the old vent cover used to be, like I did. (I have a 1960s home so they’ve been painted a million times over- hence the line) See the first picture. You don’t really see it because it’s so high up on the wall, but If you care you might want to take that into consideration. Overall, I recommend it!

I love the look of this in comparison to the regular vent covers. Time will tell how easy this is to keep clean and if it circulates the air as well since the ugly covers do tend to direct the air to the center of the room where this sends it down from the open rectangle. I haven't painted it yet to say whether it will look the same with the paint on this ABS plastic as opposed to the drywall of the ceiling. I don't think that will be an issue for me since I am planning to stencil my ceiling so any difference would be less noticeable. I do like that this is easy to install and doesn't need additional work like others that the frame requires putty, sanding and painting for install. This one is a quick replacement. I do not know why the prices are so high for these items and I won't be ordering them for the rest of my vents until I see if prices ever decrease when they aren't as novel. Especially when this one is $63 for the 6x12" plastic vent - not even metal and I have so many vents. I also don't know if the plastic will yellow over time so it's just not worth the price for me right now. It did fit well and seems to functions well. I will be interested to see how often this needs to be cleaned since even the pieces that clip together to take the cover off are plastic so I am hoping this doesn't need to be cleaned often so those little clips don't break. I would be more interested in the metal version when the price is reasonable

I like the idea behind this product and the way it looks after installation. It totally modernizes the look and still functions well. It replaces a metal one that I could control the air flow or even close. With this one I can’t do that. Be aware that it is simply two pieces of plastic and the air flow cannot be changed. But the customization (paint, wallpaper, flooring, etc) to make it blend into the surrounding space would be a valuable feature if you’re inclined to do that. . We are in the process of updating an old 70’s kitchen and this helps by updating the HVAC in that space. Installation took longer for me only because of the heavily textured ceiling… so some additional caulking and painting is necessary. Otherwise, installation is simple and the results are worth 5 stars.

I love this vent cover so much! I honestly can’t believe we humans haven’t thought of this sooner! Traditional vents are ugly in my opinion and gather so much dust and just look awful and out of place. But this vent cover is a total game changer! It looks amazing, so gorgeous! It seems to be really good quality even though it’s plastic the plastic is really strong and it’ll be way easier to clean. It was super easy to install and seems to have good air flow. I want to replace all my vents in my house with these especially after getting this one but unfortunately for the price it’s not really worth it to me. I love them and the look but like a lot of other people have mentioned the price is just too high. Hopefully the price will come down and I can replace the rest of the vents in my home!

This framed wall vent in cotton white is a noticeable improvement over standard vent covers. The design is clean and modern, and it elevates the look of any room instantly. It works well straight out of the box, but also takes paint beautifully if you want to match your wall color or trim. Installation was straightforward, and the fit is precise. The build quality feels solid, and it definitely adds a more finished, intentional look to the space. That said, the price is steep for a vent cover—especially considering it’s a basic functional item. While the aesthetic upgrade is worth noting, it would be a much better value closer to half the cost. Still, if you're aiming for a polished interior, this is a good choice.
