Very happy with the Gold Bug Pro so far! Instructions are a lot easier to get started compared to my Garrett AT Gold. Very lite weight. I was disappointed after spending $800, there was no packaging to protect the detector and parts were lose inside the box. A bit expensive, by time you ship to Canada ! A good quality set of headphones and a Double DD coil supplied would be nice! But a great starter detector! Actually far easier to get started with than my Garret AT Gold. AT GOLD is great as well - both great units- highly recommend both. AT Gold is waterproof. I did upgrade the search coil to a 11" DETECH ULTIMATE coil and this coil works great for deep searching and covering more territory! ... show more

My Fisher Gold Bug Pro was for some reason NOT shipped in its Original Factory Box. It was placed in a plain box with NO packaging material. This allowed parts to move freely in the box during shipping. Assembly was difficult as the one of the flanges for the rod to search coil was bent inwards. I used pliers to bend it back, but still, placing the bolt through the flange holes was a pain to line up. I'd have preferred that my Fisher Gold Bug Pro had been shipped in its original factory box nicely packed. I paid $549.47 I would have expected better packaging. ... show more

Fantastic metal detector. It's light weight, picks up all types of targets, and is simple to use. Can detect flakes/specks of gold with the 5 inch coil. Sidenote: I own the pro model too and there is no difference between the two except they moved the battery life indicator to the bottom middle.

Cleary the item I was shipped was used. It was dirty, missing the arm strap and the battery was dead. It appears work, but I'm very disappointed that for this price it was not new.

This thing is a GREAT Gold Detector! Iron soil readout, easy ground balance, super simple interface and sensitive(19khz). Aside for the added manual fine tuning of the ground balance on the pro it seems to be exactly the same(using a Side by side depth/sensitivity comparison). Shares coils with the f75 (Teknetics T2), GoldBug pro (Teknetics G2) and Teknetics greek series,..I can get by fine with using the auto ground balance just fine for the price(paid only 380! great sale day I suppose). Fast FREE shipping, clean, as expected. If you are over the Gold this thing WILL tell you. Still gotta know where to look! Thank you! ... show more
