Great product. The only thing I would suggest to improve it, include much stronger bolts. I tore the heads off of two of them while mounting the device on to a log section for an elevated base. I love using it to produce copious amounts of kindling very quickly.

I purchased this to help with chopping kindling and it hasn’t disappointed. It’s made it so much easier and quicker. It’s so small to be used for larger log splitting, but I doubt anyone would purchase it with that intent. With the description of this item being "XL" and the measurements of the inside of the top ring being 8.7 inches. I expected it to be able to handle a 8 inch log. An 8 inch log fits into the device but because it is so short of a distance from the blade to the top ring there is no room for the log to split. This is my fault for making assumptions so I intend to keep the device because it is actually great for splitting smaller logs and sub-splitting larger logs that have been split at least once by an axe. Lesson learned, good product just a lot smaller than it appears in the pictures. ... show more
