**UPDATE** *Original review remains below. After posting the previous review the seller reached out and took every effort to work with me to make things right. Because of their amazing effort at customer service, I will upgrade my review to 4 stars from the original one star though at this time, 1 star was still accurate for the product I received. Know that if you order from them and are unhappy, they seem to care and will make efforts to address your concerns* I really hate leaving bad reviews, but I felt it was important this time. Had high hopes this would work out but it is so flimsy I put it in my daughter’s closet for shoes. Let me say I’ve been in the hobby for quite a few years and have put together many aquarium stands in my time. For starters, the supplied cam bolts are awful. Some came lose and fell out (yes, after being tightened) while I was working on assembly. On one of the sections I had to use a wood file to trim down the wood in order to make it fit (see pic). Had I not filed it down, it would have cracked the side of the stand while trying to force it in. The instructions are pretty straight forward - the photos clearly point out where everything goes which was good. I was only going to put a Fluval Flex 9 gallon on this thing but to be honest I didn’t feel like it could handle even that. Maybe I just got a bad one, but I just can’t see this being solid enough for aquariums.

I usually don't write reviews, but I had to for this item. When I order things I always put them together because I am a perfectionist everything has to line up correctly. I was in a rush so I paid extra to have the company put together the aquarium stand for me. I have to say whoever put this together did an OUTSTANDING job. It was worth the extra assembly charge as it is not only well constructed but put together very nicely, and wrapped for shipping greatly! I would strongly recommend this company and I hope that they tell whoever put this together that they did a great job. Well done and thank you!

Pretty tank stand, but the top warped within a few months. Now there is a gap along the entire middle section of my frameless tank where the tank bottom is not in contact with the stand top surface, putting my tank at risk for shattering. This stand is very overpriced considering it cannot hold up to the recommended weight capacity. Addendum: I contacted seller and they responded the same day, acknowledged the issue and stated that mine was the first report of the stand top warping. They promptly offered a refund or replacement. I took the refund because I was worried about delivery time and my tank not being properly supported in the interim. Much appreciation to the seller for standing behind their product and conducting business ethically!

I found the design very nice and elegant and it was easy to assemble. However, I got repeatedly frustrated as cam locks kept breaking. They seem to be manufactured with very poor metal. Three cam locks deformed and broke as I was tightening them (see photos). I had to leave the remaining cam lock screws only slightly tightened as I was afraid they would all break. The material for the screws is similarly weak. I have built many pieces of furniture from IKEA with similar cam lock screws fastening systems and I've never had a cam lock break before. I’ll use the stand for now for a 10 gallon tank but I’ll replace it in the future as it makes me uneasy that the connections are not strong enough.

Call it a 4.5. Found assembly fairly easy. As pointed out by others, instructions are all pictures but if taken slowly, one step at a time, assembly is easy. No side to side sway and stand assembles level. Good coating on top, what little water may hit beads up. Height could be a few inches taller but it works. One improvement would be to have pre-cut areas to allow backing to be opened up for cords, if power or additional air pump desired.
