I purchased the keypad door lock to replace one that was broken. Certainly, I was a bit concerned that this one would fit in the same location without me having to drill new holes or modify the door in any way. Having performed a lot of woodwork, this would not have been a problem for me, but I just would rather not need to do that. I know that most of the measurements are “standard” and this made me a bit more comfortable. When I received the lock and handle system, I carefully read through the instructions just to be sure I didn’t miss something. The only thing I had to do was increase the depth of the hole in the door jamb for the deadbolt. Not a big issue and about a 2-minute job with a 1-inch paddle drill. I certainly appreciated that the lower bolt on the door handle is adjustable (this was not mentioned in the write-up, but is often standard on better quality lock sets). This eliminated my having to drill a new lower handle hole. Other than the door jamb, I did not have to drill anything else. The strike plate had square corners and the one I replaced had round corners. No big deal, as a couple minutes with a Dremel tool took care of that. I found this lock set to be of very high quality and simple to install. The instructions on the deadbolt installation were very clear and easy to follow. The key on installation was to look at the pictures carefully so as to route the wires through the door correctly. A neat feature is the manner in which the deadbolt automatically determines if the door is right-handed or left-handed. That was a nice surprise and worked like a charm. If you are careful and follow the directions, you will have no issues with this. As an engineer, I thought this was a nice design feature with the electronics and made the installation fool proof. The only things I felt should have been included in the package and were not were the long screws for the secondary strike plate (the heavy one behind the visible one in the door frame for the deadbolt). I did not have an issue however, as I just used the ones from the old installation. If this was a new installation, I would have had to run to the hardware store to get these two long screws. Not really a big deal and easily done, but I was just surprised. The whole job went together effortlessly and is a nice-looking installation. High quality, nice looking, and easily to install. The programming of fingerprints, codes, etc. was easy and accomplished in a few short minutes. I certainly would not hesitate to purchase this lock set. As you can see in the photo, all I have to do is wait until spring when it warms up a bit and repaint the door!

I purchased this keyless entry door lock and had absolutely no trouble installing it. The installation went very smoothly, and I was able to use all of the existing pre-drilled holes in my door. I did have a little trouble setting up the codes, but I have to admit, I’m definitely technically challenged! I called customer support this morning and spoke with Aaron. He walked me through the process several times and was incredibly patient, kind, and helpful. When all was said and done, everything was set up perfectly. I’m very happy with the lock, and the excellent customer service made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend it!

My former pin pad stopped working after 5 years and we needed a replacement. While, I like the look appearance of this, the functionality is a little mixed for us. I like that you have a thumbprint option which we are not using currently, and installing the pin code is easy, and overall it looks great. Our biggest complaint is that it does not autolock. If it does, we don’t know how to make it do it and directions do not tell us how. Our old pin pad automatically locked once the door was shut. You must manually lock this one every single time and I often forget being I haven’t had to do this for over five years. Our dog also knows how to open doors that have this type of handle so having that door locked is very important so he does not let himself out. Overall, I think the value for money is fine. Installation is easy and it serves its purpose, but the autolock feature is greatly needed.

Awesome product and customer service! After a pretty easy install I was having trouble with the deadbolt. It was hard to lock and unlock and the mechanism just didn’t have the power to unlock. I called the company and Jessica called back almost immediately. I explained the problem and she asked what was happening and I explained it to her and she said she would send a replacement. After thinking about it for a bit I decided to remove it and reinstall. In this process I discovered the deadbolt was not installed properly! I put the proper spacers in, put it back together and it works like a charm! I informed Jessica that everything was great and to cancel the replacement. She asked if there was anything else I needed help with and I asked her to walk me through the programming process. Everything is working perfectly. Awesome customer service!

FIRST...I LOVE THE DIGITAL DEAD BOLT! I forget how many entry codes (that you program yourself) it will hold, but I believe it's at least six. My 3 stars review is more about the handle. Lately, I've been having issues with the backstop not working properly. The other day, I was "locked out" by the backstop not depressing far enough into the handle to release it from the door frame. I've checked to see if there are any screws loose. NONE. I will be taking it apart today to find out if I can fix it. (HOPING!!!). If I can't, then, you know the rest. I don't see what adjustment could be made, as it's the inside of the handle that doesn't like to completely click into place at the point of complete release of the engaged backstop. I do know I've had it for a few years, but I don't believe a door handle should be skipping out while on duty. I've never had this issue with any engaging door handle ever before. That would be a lot of years, (and the rest is NUNYA biz don't be asking my age! 😂). UPDATE: I FINALLY had time to take the door handle apart, and I solved the problem with white lithium lubricant. Please note, DO NOT SPRAY YOUR LOCKS OR ANY MOVING METAL PART WITH W-D40 AND NOT FOLLOW UP WITH A VERY FINE METAL LUBRICANT! EVER!!! Yes, it will break loose whatever it is freezing up...such as rust or other corrosion; BUT, if you don't lubricate the problem child, it will freeze up again. #1, I didn't have a frozen lock. I just had a problem with it fully engaging. AND, white lithium grease...comes in a spray can...did the trick. I took the door handle completely off and with the little red straw that fine point directs the grease, I lubricated the inside of the inside working parts, working them as I sprayed the troubled areas. VOILA! WORKS LIKE A CHARM. The more I used the handle over a few days, the more the white lithium melted into the working mechanism. No more issues!

I looked at several deadbolt locks that did not use WiFi. The lock I chose was perfect! Easy install with detailed directions and easy to operate. While installing though, I accidentally broke a piece that holds the deadbolt in. I called customer service and spoke with George. He really did go above and beyond for me. He immediately sent out the new part, but I was not home when it arrived. George followed up with me and I told him I was out of town when the part arrived. He spoke with his team and sent out a second part. There were no questions asked and I received the second part today! Thank you so much! I will definitely be purchasing another Veise for my back door soon!

Easy to install, however, we made a mistake along the way and couldn’t figure out what we did wrong. Called the customer service number that is everywhere on their install pamphlets. After a short hold, Aaron walked us through the entire process and figured out where we needed to make a slight change. Patience is not word as we dismantled and brought it back to life. Would highly recommend, looks great, easy to program and if there is an issue, they are right there for you. Thank you, Aaron!

I really liked this product and it was easy to install. However, less than a year later I found myself locked out of my house and unable to open my door because the internals of the handle part of this set came undone. Attached to this review is a video depicting what was going on inside my door. The "spinning bar" somehow came loose! If I tighten down the screws extremely tight the door will work again. However, I've lost all faith in the handle and feel as though I can't trust it any longer. I've already replaced it. I do want to compliment the pin pad portion of this set. I'm keeping that part installed because it's still functioning fine and dependable. My only complaint with that piece is that it didn't seem to give us any sort of warning that the batteries were getting low. Randomly one day we just started up hear this low volume high pitched squeal coming from the lock and took that as a sign the batteries needed to be replaced. Other than that I like the lock portion and will continue to use it. Update on Feb 3, 2024: I need to take a moment to praise the maker of this door handle set. Even though I had bought this handle set almost a full year before leaving my review, within 24 hours of writing my review the company reached out to me apologizing for my experience and offering a refund or replacement. You never see companies doing that. So, kudos to this company for having such great customer service and integrity. I raised my star rating from 3 to 4 stars after this interaction. This experience makes me comfortable buying from them again.
