This was easy to install and felt like a good quality. Works pretty fast. the autolock is mainly why I got it and that it also has a backup key. This isnt perfect but for the price its a great product for indoors mainly to keep people out of a room that you dont want kids or random people in as someone damaged my 3d printer so I wanted this to keep people out. Isn't it fun to come up to the front door, have to put down whatever you are carrying so you can dig in your pocket for the key, then fumble around unlocking the door? No, I didn't think so. This was no more difficult to install than any other deadbolt, which is to say that a moderate amount of skill is necessary as are the right tools. If you are replacing another deadbolt installation becomes real easy but for a new installation give yourself some time. Once installed the programming directions are easy to follow. I've set a couple of different codes and programmed several fingers (mine, my wife's, our children's) and they are working well. Knowing that the batteries will give out while I'm locked out it is nice to have a physical key and I like the way the key slot is hidden. The key slot will stay clean and I'd like to think that not seeing a key slot will discourage anyone thinking of picking the lock. And, in addition to function, this lock looks good. ... show more

    • Easy install, high-quality electronic keypad - but the fingerprint function doesn't work well

Overall, this is a great and high-quality keypad and we loved how easy it was to install on the front door. The included key works well as a back-up for the keypad, but the keypad itself is very responsive and we've had no issues setting a code and using it to get in and out. The auto-lock function is convenient as well so we don't have to worry about whether we locked the door after getting home. The only con to the door lock is the fingerprint reader -- it was easy to set up and seemed to work well at first, but after a few uses the reader no longer really reads fingerprints well and seems kind of useless. Nevertheless, that doesn't affect the overall functionality of the lock since the keypad works just fine and is the main reason we wanted to get this lock! ... show more

I got this keypad and fingerprint deadbolt to add to the door in my storm cellar as I keep some things in there that I would like an extra bit of security on. Installation was not too difficult and with the provided instructions and it was no longer than any other deadbolt or doorknob. Unfortunately I got a dud. In left hand mode it will only unlock the door, and in right hand it will only lock the door. It makes the sound like it's doing something when used with fingerprint or keypad however the bolt does not move. I reviewed the instructions and factory reset and tried again....twice, but the same problem occurred each time, in left hand mode which my door is set up as, it will unlock the bolt, but not lock it. I also found that it would lock the deadbolt with ANY of my fingerprints...even though I only programmed 1. ... show more
