Velcro works to keep it in sofa position, but can take some getting used to unless your putting it against a wall. My first review was harsher, but it does work as a sofa chair, as long as you dont test it. Looks pretty cool and a comfy mat. Over all a pretty good purchase

This futon is perfect for using as a guest bed. I’m using it now until my bed is delivered. When used as a chair the back is very low so I recommend adding pillows and placing it against the wall. I like this ~ it's fun and multipurposeful I've slept on it one night to see how it would be for a guest sleeping mat and it was honestly really nice, I can see myself sleeping on this mat whenever I want a change from my regular bed. the full size is perfect for both me 5'4 (130lbs) and my partner 6'1 (175lbs) to fully lay down and sit on together. the pillows are a little small and dorky looking but weirdly comfortable.
