i bought this long ago for an accidental rat pup litter. this cage was amazing and lasted so long until i was able to upgrade to my critter nation cage. it is so spacey and tall not to mention the storage it has. it was a little hard to clean thoroughly due to it being wood. the wood did end up bending and warping due to the urine but other than that it was super durable. this is an excellent cage for the money you spend. it was super safe until they started to chew the plastic at the bottom of it so i had to improvise and block off the bottom. it was a little hard to assemble but after i read the instructions more i got the hang of it. i would definitely buy this product again if i had to!

The media could not be loaded. The quality of this item is great in my opinion. It had great instructions and I loved how it came with extra screw in case you strip one or lose one while building. I bought this as additional space for my button quail that just hatched some chicks a few weeks ago and I love the size! They were previously in an enclosure that was shorter in height but had a second level. I think with the additional levels they will love it! May be a trial and error thing but honestly this is a great product and very sturdy. Quick shipping too! I ordered Saturday and it arrived Tuesday. I’m a happy camper!

I like the way the cage looks. I didn't want just a metal cage sitting in the house. I wanted something that looked nice. I will say however that the wood on this chips easily. I wish the used a harder wood or something. When putting it together, I found that some of the pieces were mismarked, and a couple of the stubs weren't aligned with the holes, so I had to cut them off. But I made it work. Since the wooden doesn't have any kind of finish on it, and any urine from my rats wood seep right into the wood, I hopefully fixed that problem with adding a waterproofing sealer on all of the shelves and ramps, as well as the cuddle box.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love this enclosure! Great size and great quality. Easy to put together. Love that is is on wheels so it’s easy to move around. I also purchased some rubber feeding mats from Amazon and they fit perfectly on the floors for easier cleaning.

Cage was not difficult to assemble. It is made of a very soft wood. Materials quality only average at best. Had cage only 10 days before 2 Degu pets were able to chew through the very flimsy plastic bedding tray in the base of the cage. I would recommend that the manufacturer supply a metal tray to prevent quick chew through by pets. Degu pets had also chewed up a bit of cage interior platforms as well as the tray. I was leery of this purchase but I did not know that the tray would be of such inferior quality that it would be destroyed that quickly. This cage was not designed for pets that chew and would have had to be replaced in less than a year even if the tray had not been an issue. I will add photos of cage soon.

I got this for my 2 female ferrets. It's not the quality I thought it was going to be. It looks beautiful, the ferrets love it, but it definitely wouldn't be large enough for a male ferret. I'm glad I didn't buy this for an animal that needs to chew constantly, because it would be eaten through in a couple of days. It needs a drill to be put together. The wheels work nice. It can be rolled around the home easily. The wood on it, although it looks really really nice, is actually super cheap material. I wouldn't have got this if I could have "felt" it beforehand. Also, it has a lock on the bottom of the cage, it's the very last thing they have you put together in the instructions. That lock fell apart and we couldn't figure out how to put that back together. We ended up using something else instead. The top of this cage opens up, which is fine, it has a place to put a lock on the top part. My female ferrets can't open it on their own, so I don't need it to be locked shut. If I still had my male ferret, or any different larger pet, he'd be able to lift that open if I didn't get a lock. People who come into my home, immediately comment "wow that's a nice looking cage." And that seems to be the only good thing about it. I don't think it's very durable, and I'm not hopeful that it will last even a couple years. It definitely couldn't be placed outside, if it gets wet it's obvious it would rot. I was hoping that I was spending a lot of money on an honest to goodness investment that would ensure my ferrets have a safe place for when we have people over. This was not an investment. This was an incredible waist of money. I am really upset with myself for buying this. This had like an $80 shipping, too.

This enclosure is great for the price! The wood near one of the wheels did split upon drilling, but that’s the only issue. If you’re using it for a reptile, be sure to flip the panels showing the wood part and not the plastic as it’ll melt with the lighting. Great cage though if you’re on a budget!! They offered a $15 refund due to the wood splitting which I’m pleased with. Great customer service!!

My chinchilla has been chewing on this cage inside and out and haven't even made it his new home. It's a decent cage but nowhere near chew proof. That is just a sales pitch lie that I should have not believed. It was easy to assemble but the wire screening is to loose to add any wood ledge pieces to also. I have no idea what I will be able to do with it now.
