This cage is awesome. It's modular in a sense, I've been able to customize it for my iguana. It comes with everything you need and is predrilled so it's easy to build. Looks a lot easier to clean as well! I struggled to find a cage that kept my baby ferret in his cage. This cage is Ferret Proof. I've had it for almost 60 days and have no problems. My baby loves her new home. Easy access to all compartments being as there are several door access points. I really like this. The instructions were fine and it was easy to assemble. My two ferrets love their new cage. It’s not bad for the price. I strongly recommend buying this. It also comes with a cute little bowl and a toy they chew on!! I love this thing, easy to put together, easy to clean , quality is top notch, safety is amazing, the size of it is perfect, I love the wheels on the bottom so I can push around the house. i bought this long ago for an accidental rat pup litter. this cage was amazing and lasted so long until i was able to upgrade to my critter nation cage. it is so spacey and tall not to mention the storage it has. it was a little hard to clean thoroughly due to it being wood. the wood did end up bending and warping due to the urine but other than that it was super durable. this is an excellent cage for the money you spend. it was super safe until they started to chew the plastic at the bottom of it so i had to improvise and block off the bottom. it was a little hard to assemble but after i read the instructions more i got the hang of it. i would definitely buy this product again if i had to! ... show more

The quality of this item is great in my opinion. It had great instructions and I loved how it came with extra screw in case you strip one or lose one while building. I bought this as additional space for my button quail that just hatched some chicks a few weeks ago and I love the size! They were previously in an enclosure that was shorter in height but had a second level. I think with the additional levels they will love it! May be a trial and error thing but honestly this is a great product and very sturdy. Quick shipping too! I ordered Saturday and it arrived Tuesday. I’m a happy camper! ... show more

Its a little more flimsy than I would like. When we opened the package it had a very strong pain smell. Instructions are easy to understand and it came with extra screws. I had to cut the black plastic mats down a little bit because the Instructions didn't say to put them on before screwing the railings on. Would not recommend for a wood chewing pet i feel they would eat right throw the cage easily. Our ferret loves it amd has been running up and down playing. Wish it had hooks to put under the layers to hang hammocks and toys. ... show more

Very nice cage for price. It is a lighter wood. We have 1 female ferret who is petite so this cage is perfect for her. Easy to clean, and has lots of doors for easy access. Would not recommend is you have an animal who needs to chew.

Bought for a chinchilla. Several of the shelves are configured the wrong direction so they don't fit properly in the cage. The wood is very thin and brittle and flaky, and there is an extremely noxious odor coming from it. A chin will chew through it in a snap. The sides are similar to a metal mesh material and stapled to the wood, so there is a bunch of sharp points an animal could cut themselves on. The screws don't screw in flush, so the screws on the ramps stick up and I'm afraid our chin is going to chew at the screws. There is also no way to clean/disinfect the top or the sides of the cage because it is all super porous wood. I can't in good faith put any living creature in this cage. I love this thing, easy to put together, easy to clean , quality is top notch, safety is amazing, the size of it is perfect, I love the wheels on the bottom so I can push around the house. My chipmunk is extremely happy. I saved him , and he became the best thing I ever have taken care of.

I got this for my 2 female ferrets. It's not the quality I thought it was going to be. It looks beautiful, the ferrets love it, but it definitely wouldn't be large enough for a male ferret. I'm glad I didn't buy this for an animal that needs to chew constantly, because it would be eaten through in a couple of days. It needs a drill to be put together. The wheels work nice. It can be rolled around the home easily. The wood on it, although it looks really really nice, is actually super cheap material. I wouldn't have got this if I could have "felt" it beforehand. Also, it has a lock on the bottom of the cage, it's the very last thing they have you put together in the instructions. That lock fell apart and we couldn't figure out how to put that back together. We ended up using something else instead. The top of this cage opens up, which is fine, it has a place to put a lock on the top part. My female ferrets can't open it on their own, so I don't need it to be locked shut. If I still had my male ferret, or any different larger pet, he'd be able to lift that open if I didn't get a lock. People who come into my home, immediately comment "wow that's a nice looking cage." And that seems to be the only good thing about it. I don't think it's very durable, and I'm not hopeful that it will last even a couple years. It definitely couldn't be placed outside, if it gets wet it's obvious it would rot. I was hoping that I was spending a lot of money on an honest to goodness investment that would ensure my ferrets have a safe place for when we have people over. This was not an investment. This was an incredible waist of money. I am really upset with myself for buying this. This had like an $80 shipping, too. ... show more

It does take two people to build it. I wish I new the dimensions to the bottom pan. Would have like it to be stainless steel metal, but the plastic works great also. Easy to clean and very roomy for my prairie dogs. I would have also the bottom hinges to the tray to metal.
